How often do you weigh in?

  • I was wondering how often everyone weighs in. I know if I see a little victory I tend to relax a little too much for some reason and put some weight on. I am thinking I will try to stay off the scale for a couple of weeks so I can get the new lifestyle rolling along.

It amazed me how much I actually eat that is ok for me. It is just this exercise thing. I am going to try to walk for 30 minutes on my planning during the school day to get some exercise and then go back to my classroom. I think it would do me a world of good to get out during the day instead of letting myself stay stuck in the classroom.
  • Weeeeelllll....I suppose I'm a scale addict :-) I *do* get on the scale every morning, but it's only "official" on Sunday mornings for the week. I actually find that it helps me develop a "feel" for the ups and downs (whether hormone induced or, say, reaction to really hard/long workouts, etc.) to see what the scale is showing the next day.
  • I'm the same as NowOrNever. My official weigh-in day is Sunday morning but I usually weigh every morning. I used to weigh about a thousand times a day so now I've only got it down to the mornings, which I guess is an improvement.
  • I weigh myself every morning but Monday is my official day where I count towards my ticker and fitday
  • haha I guess I fall into the everyday - but have Monday as my offical weigh in day. I need to break my scale addiction.
  • I guess after reading all your comments it is basically up to me. I think I will weigh in for my "first official" on....Jan.2 and then do it every other week. I am really hoping for 20 pounds or more to be gone before summer.
  • Darlene, I had to laugh at "before summer." Now...if you were here in the Seattle area, that would give you TONS of time since our summer never starts until mid-July LOL (I can laugh online, but it gets to be terribly depressing by June when it seems like the whole rest of the US is enjoying at least the 70s and we're still having RAIN/drizzle here)
  • I usually weigh in on Tuesday mornings.. but occasionally get on it off and on within the week :P
  • I don't own a scale, I use one at the gym at work, and the instructor beats me with a towel if I get on more than once a week!!!! Good scale addiction therapy!!!

I used to weigh once a week, now I weigh once a month, or when I feel I need to. I had a plateau that lasted 3 months, I gave up weighing weekly then as it was depressing.
  • I might just throw the two scales I have away and go from there by judging the clothing size etc.....maybe weigh at the nurses office in school. Of course I can't be naked there ......it would just plain scare the children!!!

All kidding aside I could account for blood pressure and weight loss with one of my nurse friends at my school or my old school.

    Doesn't sound bad eh???
