  • OK, I'm in. I'm going to try for 1800 minutes BEFORE Christmas! I also plan to stay on plan with food and eat more fruit, veggies and dairy along with upping my water a bit. I would like to do at least 300 minutes of weights (included in my 1800 minutes).

    December 1-Morning-50 minutes bike: Evening-32 minutes treadmill, 35 minutes bike, 5 minutes abs (I HATE abs!)

    December 2-30 minutes treadmill (intervals of running and walking) and 40 minutes bike

    December 3-7 minute bike warm up, 30 minutes weights, 34 minutes treadmill

    December 4-DAY OF REST!

    December 5-70 minutes bike (7 warm up for weights, 2-30 minute programs and a 3 minute cool down), 30 minutes weights

    December 6-SCRUBBED my kitchen floor which was the hardest work all week...by I digress...42 minutes treadmill intervals, 33 minutes bike

    December 7th-*hanging head low* I was a Cub Scout Leader last night and the boys WORE ME OUT so I didn't do it...I'll make up for it today though

    OH MY GOODNESS! I knew that I felt really busy but I can't believe it's been this long since I posted...oh my..OK, I'm catching up today!

    December 8-30 minutes bike

    December 9-shoveled snow for 1 hour...will count as 30 minutes because I played with the kids too!

    December 12-weightlifting 40 minutes, bike 85 minutes

    December 13-none...I HAD to get Christmas cards out *pout*

    December 14-none again! Starting to get a cold I think!

    well I suck...I'm not even going to make it 1/2 way to goal. I HAVE to be back in the 140s by christmas and then I'll just try to maintain until the new year!

  • I'm Busted! 1000 minute goal.
    I decided that I am changing my goal (lame I know) to just 1000 minutes. Good lord, I know I need to focus on my working out more, but I don't want to discourage myself either.

  • I'm in again! Another 2000 cardio for me. I want to spread it out more. This last week has been killer! I'm also changing my cardio routine to include only bellydance and elliptical for December as my official cardio. This month is going to be hard because I'm going to snowy pa to visit family from the 27th to jan 3rd. Aah! CHANGE IN PLAN: Due to the Christmas tree I will not be able to do my bellydance videos until after Christmas.

  • Okay so I’m only going to try for 1,000 minutes this month. I’m just getting back in the swing of things and know I wouldn’t make 1,500. I’m already close to accomplishing my goal for December so I think this is a good number for me. Woo hoo!!! I’m pumped. I will definitely make 180 by December 31st!!!

    31 days in December, times 40 minutes/day = 1240... round up for 1250 minutes for December!! I'm ready!!

    12/3 - 15 mins walking around (quickly because it was FREEZING outside!)

    12/7 - 15 mins on one elliptical, 15 mins on another, plus 25 mins stretching (OMG I am so sore from the lunges on Monday!!!)

  • Count me in too! This is my first challenge!

    I can't imagine a better Christmas present than improving my health and getting my body in shape as I go down the scale and tape measure.

    My goal is to do 2000 minutes of cardio, which works out to be 65 minutes per day. I know I can do this. I am going to start Pilates tomorrow (I have a Windsor Pilates DVD set that hasn't been used in forever), but I don't think I am going to include that in the challenge for this month. Since I'm just starting out, I think it's best to concentrate this challenge on cardio (walking/jogging/running) so I get used to doing that every day. I want to start strength training again, too; I just have to join a gym! Hopefully I will be able to do that before the end of the year.
