Juicing

  • I hate veggies, always have, always will, and it would be a lot easier if I could drink them in 10 seconds and get it done, rather than to have to eat them. Does anyone have any experience or feedback about this? Thanks!!!!
  • I am drinking my morning juice right now- 3 apples (mixture of red and green), 2 stalks of celery, 2-4 carrots, and whatever else I have on had- fresh parsley, brocli, cumcumbers, grapes, kiwi- basically anything I can find in the produce section other then onions, pepers, potatos, and mushrooms. I really do like it as a way to get more veggies in- and my stomach handles it better as a breakfast then if I had a heavy one. There are some pretty good books on juicying- you can check them out at any major bookstore to see if it looks like something you would do. I will say that the prep work is not that bad- I wash all my produce and somethings have to be removed (outside layer of orange peel, apples seeds), then you have to cut things down to size to fit in the juicer. The clean-up can be the hardest part- you have to do it right away otherwise you have to do a lot of scrubbing and soaking.

Another alternative, if you like tomato juice, is V-8 juice. I do not like it so it was not an option for me. Another recipe to get a vegetable in is using pumkin in pudding- I think it is posted under the WW recipes here at 3FC's site- I am having that (another serving to go with my 16 oz of juice) along with 1/2 serving of oat bran cinnamon squares- great start to my day.

    Good luck~
