Don't know what I am doing!

  • Okay... I made soup and I want to see if I added the calories right.

I chopped up all the vegetables I needed and the calories came to 1,238. I added the water and then measured how much was there after it was done cooking... 32 cups.

So my soup only has 39 calories a cup? Or did I do something wrong? What do you guys think?

I don't want to eat if if I added it wrong
  • Wow - that sounds like a GIANT pot of soup {wink}, but if thats all you put in it then yes that would be correct. Remember, veggies are low in cals and consist of a lot of water and good-for-you fiber. Did you add any chicken stock or other items that you forgot about?

Some veggies change calorie composition after being cooked, so check your calorie counter to see if you need to take that into consideration as well.

What? Really? How is that possible?
