Kale cooked in sugar?? Ewwww

    I got some kale from this place next to my job and it tastes like it was cooked in sugar and Yuck it's so nasty. Why would someone do that? I took a bite expecting a vinagary twang to it and instead it was sweet

    It could be cooked with balsamic vinegar which is pretty sweet and actually has sugar added in the manufacture.
    I like it steamed with a bit of butter (fake) and some toasted pine nuts.

    No, I use balsamic vinegar when I cook them and it tasted nothing at all like that. It was so sweet I couldn't eat it. Nasty!

    Molasses, I bet.

    I used to put molasses and beer when I made collard greens.
