Vegan Weight Watchers?

  • Hi!

I'm new to WeightWatchers, and am following the At-Home program. I was wondering if there were any other vegans following the program and, if so, what your typical day looked like in terms of menus, distribution of points, etc.

    Thanks!

  • I'm not a vegan; I just limit my meat consumption. A vegetarian diet works great with WW!
    B-oatmeal w/dried cranberries - 2pt; coffee w/milk - 1pt
    S-orange & apple - 2pt
    L-cooked veggies and a veggie burger - 1pt
    S-non-fat cottage cheese - 1pt
S-veggies; kidney bean salad; veggie burger or bean burger - 4pt
    S-lowfat micro popcorn - 1pt
  • sounds great!
  • I made the desision to cut way back on my animal protein as way.
I work part-time at whole foods market so it will be helpful in my
switching. Some vegetarian foods are really low point and really
yummy! I've been eating morningstar farms and bora burgers anyway
and health is wealth unchicken nuggets are like 2 points. Lightlife
makes great veggies hotdogs and cold cuts too!
  • I'm a vegan WWer, too! I find that it works quite well for vegans, since many whole vegan foods are low(ish) in PointsPlus.

I started following the Simply Filling Technique (Core basically) in February, and am LOVING IT!

Since now I only count PointsPlus for non-Power Foods, I'll just share a daily menu with you. Here's the plan for today:

breakfast- oatmeal made with light soy milk and slices of peach
lunch- barley mixed with steamed vegetables, garbanzo beans, 1 tsp EVOO
dinner- brown rice mixed with steamed veggies, black beans, 1 tsp evoo
snacks- fruits, veggies, shredded wheat w/ soy milk
