Default Ta-Da Sept 14+

Ok, I am bringing this thread back.

I have managed to clean my kitchen floor twice. It was that bad. It has been a few months since I mopped. Also cleaned of the table, got rid of flowers that have been dead for weeks.

Did laundry and put ALL of my clothes away, including the clothes that have just gotten moved around my room for a few weeks.

Started cleaning out my closet. Got rid of 3 grocery bags worth of shoes. I think I had every pair of Chucks I ever owned. I found 3 black pairs, 1 blue, 1 marroon & 1 white, and one pair of checkered high tops.

Also started organizing my (small) bag full of recipies I have torn out of magazines.

Also walked around the corner to get milk, bread & my Sunday paper.

None of that my be exercise, in the traditional sense, but I think all this counts.

Way to go Squeaker And housework does count as exercise!

My ta-da was that I got off my duff and went grocery shopping, stuck to what was on the list and said no to DH when he suggested we eat out. I was tired, hungry and stressed out from crowded stores and I knew if we went to a restaurant I would make bad choices. So we went home and had a lovely julienne salad with fresh veggies, cheese and deli meat and I feel better for eating that instead of the chinese food he wanted to go for

Oooh Oooh, just my kind of thread! I finally ta-da'd today for the first time in a longggg time. I did ALL the dishes, I paid all of our bills, balanced the checkbook, and cleaned off at least half of my desk. I wrapped up all of my correspondence with my son's school, and I dumped a load of boxes in the trash that has been in my living room.

Mauvais, I need to do your ta-das and stay home instead of the restaurants...tonight we went to Outback. I stayed on plan but it cost a small fortune for the 3 of us! When I balanced my checkbook, I realized we still spend WAY too much on going out.

Ta-da! I went to Tim Horton's last night with my friend and resisted the urge to have a doughnut! I went home and ate celery with low-fat cheese instead!

Ta-da!

I went for a walk after dinner last night and then came home did the dishes, made OP lunches for today, tidied the kitchen and set the coffee pot up for the morning and pre-programmed it! Woo hoo - feeling organized!

Also it made me too busy to think about a late night snack

Ta-da! I fixed the remote for the satellite! Some ******* had put the batteries in the wrong way!
I'm going to get back to setting up the coffee the night before too. Thanks for the reminder, Mauvais.

Ruth, you mechanical wizard, you.

Gee, I like the coffee idea, Mauvais. Funny... I just had the idea today to make dinner the night before. I've got a pot roast in the crock pot right now for tomorrow night's dinner. And I've cut up the sweet potatoes, and they're marinating in a tupperware container. I wonder if I can make those "mashed potatoes" (cauliflower) ahead of time. I HATE making dinner, but if I can do it when everyone is home the previous night, I won't feel so damned *itchy the next day.

Sflake, congrats on the paperwork!!

You are welcome Ruthxxx!

Ellis I sometimes cook two meals at once so I don't have to cook the next evening. Ie: cook extra veg, potatoes, rice or chop up extra salad so the next day I just have to bake the chicken or whatever and then I save on prep time

Thanks Squeaker!
