  • Thanks for starting up March'ss thread gardenerjoy. I am so ready for it not to be February anymore.

This month's goal will put me at the smallest I've been since before I started tracking in 2005. In May of 2005, I weighed 210. Since then, I got down to 190.2 for one day, but never lower. So the last time I weighed in the 180s was probably in about 2003. That will also move me down into the "overweight" category. I'd really like to hit the no longer obese milestone by the 18th, which is my 1 year anniversary of losing weight. So then I could say that I went from Class 3 Morbid Obesity to just Overweight in one year.

    Total Loss for Week One:

I seem to be stuck at 195.2. I've had that exact weight like 5 of the last 10 days. I've done really well the last two days and expected I might be down today, so I was pretty surprised to see the scale still at the same point. I got a lot of steps in yesterday, and did really well on eating. Also on Wednesday, the same. So I'm kind of sad that the scale isn't reflecting anything yet. I'm thinking it might be because of my cold, maybe it is making me retain more water. Not sure. All I can do is keep keeping on and trust the process.
  • Ok, let's try this again. Guess I'll try to reach a smaller goal. I just want to break 140!

  • Thanks for starting the new thread gardenerjoy! Given that the last two months have been hideous, I'm hoping that March will be a little more successful.

  • SW: 171.8
    end-of-March: 166.8

I am going to lose 5 lbs this month.

I have to ELIMINATE night-time snacking to do this! I did get on a roll a bit back with eliminating late-night snacking, so I know I can do it. And, frankly, the hot flashes have become TOTALLY TERRIBLE whenever I snack. So, psychologically, I just have to realize that all the broken sleep is directly tied to how much junk I shove down my mouth in the evenings. Sigh.

Anyway, I am increasing movement this month and going to cut night-time snacking to eliminate some calories. The 5 lbs is a totally doable goal.

    Total Loss for Week One:

I admit to being a little frustrated this week. I've been really on track for the last 3 days and my weight hasn't budged at all, and was even up today. I'm still really congested from this cold, so I'm hoping it is related to that, and when the cold is gone, I'll get a little whoosh, but we'll see. I'm going to make an extra effort to drink a lot of water this weekend and see if that helps flush away the lingering cold.
