  • Hi ladies sgregg It's nice to have you aboard and look forward to hearing more of your program.

GettinFit, I am so happy you got your heat back! yay! Very good news and also on your menu, you are shining big time!

We are going back into Boston this Friday to follow up with yet another specialist. I will be there with him every step of the way. I am doing well but will feel better when I get more info, more on that later! Keep doing what your doing and keep up with the great work! Stay strong! Help each other! I promise to be back soon. My gosh GettinFit, I feel relieved you got your heat back!

A big hug and I wish you all a super day tomorrow...........
  • Thanks for the welcome, Boater and GettinFit!

Boater, I hope your DH can get some good info from the specialists. I had to go back and read to find out what was going on.

GettinFit, glad you got your heat back! I'm in Mississippi, so not too far from you...I bet we have about the same temps and right now it is COLD for us.

I finally took my measurements today. I have only been weighing myself, but taking measurements has been encouraged by others, so that's what I'm going to try to do. I want to keep feeling like I am accomplishing something if/when I hit any stalls.

So, I am getting my Master's degree in Education and I am avoiding my discussion questions that I need to answer by tomorrow night. What better way to procrastinate then to see what's happening on 3FC, right?

I hope you all have a great OP day tomorrow!!
  • Hi ladies , waving. I hope that you are both having a nice new day. I ended up having a frozen meal last night and late at night I took some Nyquil, it left me feeling a bit groggy but is finally wearing off now I think. I have my voice back now! I played catchup and cleaned the house which feels good.

sgregg, I hope your discussion questions go great today, that is wonderful that your going for your Masters in Education. Those NSV's can go a long way.

GettinFit, I made progress, I tried to turn my WII on! hahahaha dead batteries! lol I caught up with some things around the house and need to take care of me now too, I do my own mani and pedi. I am
  • I see I lost part of my post, the auto restore did not catch everything. I have to run but hope to catch up more soon. Have a great new day.
  • Hi Ladies,

    Happy Wednesday

Weekend Boater: Thank you so much for your kind words. Yes it feels so good to have heat. We don't realize how dependent we are on these luxuries until we don't have them. I hope all goes well for your DH on Friday and I hope his sight continues to come back. You have a great attitude and I'm sure he appreciates you I hope your day ended good.

sgregg: I hope you got your discussion questions done Taking your measurements is a great idea. I took mine on 1/1 when I started back and in less than 2 weeks my waist was down 3 inches. I will take all the measurements again on 2/1. You are right that when the scale isn't moving, the inches are usually dropping. We are pretty close. It's warmed up a bit today but now it's about to storm and bring back more cold weather. I hope you had an OP day.

I had a good day and the scale was down another pound. I worked from home today and had some free time to get a few things done around the house. I also did a Firm workout. I can't believe I'm in my 4th week of being back OP.

    My Log for today:
B: 1 Lewis Healthy bun, 1 tbsp PB, Activia yogurt, coffee w/creamer
    L: Lean Cuisine, WW bar
    D: Chicken, cucumber, apple
S: WW bar, tea, coffee w/creamer
    Exercise: Firm Cardio Express Dance
  • Good morning ladies,

I hope you both had a wonderful OP Wednesday.

Boater: Lately I've been doing my own mani & pedi too. I am thinking about getting the gel put back on my nails though. I have to polish every weekend and it's getting old. Usually in the summer I go for professional pedi or when I'm going on vacation.

sgregg: I hope all went well with your class!

Another good day planned here. I can't believe Jan is almost over. So far I have not missed 1 day of exercise this month. I'm going to try and make it through the rest of the month without missing a day.

    Today's Log
B: Sargento RF Cheese stick, orange, coffee w/Flavored creamer
L: Turkey breast in 1/2 pita pocket, Lettuce, balsamic vinaigrette dressing, WW bar
D: Spaghetti squash w/marinara sauce, mozzarella & sprinkle of Parmesan, 1 Dove dark choc piece
    S: WW bar, apple
    Exercise: Walk
  • Hey!

Yes, I got my questions done yesterday evening. My kids were acting all sorts of crazy and didn’t help matters. But anyway, they are done for now.

I forgot to post yesterday. 🤦🏼*♀️

    Here’s what I had today:
    B: coffee with heavy cream
L: salad made with baby spinach, boiled eggs, bacon, cheese, and homemade Parmesan peppercorn dressing.
D: roast and creamy cauli mash

Good job on exercising everyday, gettinfit! That’s awesome. I am just not motivated to exercise anymore than what I do at work.

Boater, I am glad you seem to be feeling better. The flu is going around our school. I’m a teacher. My team teacher is at home with it now and I just found out a student that is in our grade was diagnosed today as well. Eeek!!
  • Hi Quickie post for now, just got back from Boston a bit ago...everything is looking good thus far in that the results have come back negative and they are being very thorough in ruling things out, the neuro opthamologist today said that because his vision has not worsened in these 10 days is a big positive. She was good in explaining everything which I really appreciated. So far so good! I am feeling much better!

I have not been to market yet as I was waiting for a call yesterday and being in Boston today. The other night I had scramble eggs with w.w cheese and center cut bacon. On plan for tonight is balsamic rosemary chicken breast, broccoli, baked potato. This past week I had some sidetracks but have been hanging in and we have one week left to our month! Things have settled, we are no longer sick and no planned apt's until next Friday. My goal is to be more active and have a good OP week! One day at a time as we say, so focusing on today for now. I passed up a sub at lunch time on the way back from Boston and had a couple h.b eggs at home.

GettinFit, that is a great record exercise wise and OP wise as well! I hope that your having a good day and oh TGIF! Happy Friday to both of you. When is your next cruise? I really like sally Hansen hard as nails top coat, my mani's seem to last much longer with it and it makes my nails grow fast!

sgregg, yes thank goodness that virus is out of the way now, it really hung on! Becareful in school, Mass has been hit with a pretty active flu season as well and early this year, so they say! Nice looking menu.
  • Good evening and happy Friday ladies,

Sorry I'm so late posting. It was a crazy busy day at work. I go to my WW meeting on Friday mornings and then I go to work and it was non-stop once I got there.

Weekend Boater: I am so glad things are looking good for your DH. Will his vision gradually return? Great job on hanging in there through this. I am using Sally Hansen Gel polish, the one that comes in 2 steps. It usually last a week for me. When I get the gel nails at the salon, I usually get the one with the white tip and it lasts a month. I am booked on a 7 day cruise in Dec and in July I will be going to Brazil for 2 weeks. I'm hoping to go on a girls trip to NY sometime in Oct. A few of my friends are also losing weight and we want to go up for a shopping trip to celebrate our weight loss.

sgregg: Fortunately I love to exercise Glad you got your class work done. Hopefully you will not catch any of the flu germs going around your way. So far this year I've been fortunate not to catch anything. I keep a can of Lysol in my cubicle and anytime someone coughs or sneezes I spray LOL.

Today has been a good day for me (I sure hope I can stay in this zone). On Friday I usually come home from work and crash to a glass of wine and the TV. Today I came home and did a workout DVD. I really want to keep the string of workouts going. I don't believe I've ever done a month without missing a day. I was also down another pound today. l'm getting closer & closer to onederland.

    My plan for today:

B: WW Cherry Almond Trail Mix bar, cappuccino
L: Healthy Choice Cafe Steamer, WW Bar
D: Spaghetti Squash, marinara, mozzarella, WW peanut butter bar
    S: strawberries, red wine
    Exercise: The Firm Cardio Overdrive

I hope you ladies have a great OP Friday evening!
  • Hi There

GettinFit, I was so happy just now to come in and read your news and post! WTG Congrats on another lb. lost and also a real biggie, changing your routine and instead of relaxing to wine doing a dvd workout! Oh I love it! I relaxed to wine! lol although I tell you, last round I didn't and I cranked and lost weight and especially felt wonderful from doing exactly what your doing! workout instead! It is very inspiring, keep doing what your doing because it's working great and that one day at a time is phenomenal! I still have a strong desire and plan to join you and I will! I am so much better and I have to catch up a bit more here but the major goal is to be more active, get my stuff done and well I will keep you posted for sure! I also love exercising, it just creates this great chain of reaction and always sets the course of my day..I equated it to much of my success. It's a great stress reliever and really mentally uplifting! Tyty for sharing and yet again, I cannot wait to join you! Things should settle down, thank goodness!

As for DH and if he will regain his vision in that one eye that was affected , one specialist said he would within a few months. Second retina specialist said he may regain some but there may be some permanent damage and some lost. The neuro opthmalogist today said he wont regain it, I saw his face sink. I told him after GettinFit that the other doctors thought he would and to remain positive and not forget the power of the mind which I firmly believe in! On a positive note, we were very fortunate his central vision was not affected in that eye, it is mostly the lower 1.3 region. The doc said today the brain , other eye, compensates. I truly believe he will regain it! When my dad had a major heart attack several years ago, they though he wouldn't live, all his organs were failing.........I said no! His brain was not affected and he will be fine! Guess what? WEll it was a long recovery process in intensive care and rehab but you should see him today!!!! They , btw, called him miracle man at the hospital! We must always retain hope! Thanks for the kind words GettinFit! I appreciate it so much!

Regarding the Sally Hansen gel, I will surely keep that in mind. Your trips planned and girls trip sounds absolutely wonderful and fun!!!!! What a good night you had and doing your workout tonight too! OMG, if I were you, I would put a star on the calendar! seriously! I used to do that! You so deserve it

sgregg, I ohpe your having a good night and a great start to the weekend, to both of you!

As for me, aside from the trip to Boston and all that...we went out to dinner. I had what I planned, the grilled balsamic rosemary chicken breast with broccoli and a baked potatoe (sour cream and lemon for meal). I couldn't finish it which is unusual for me so I actually have enough left for a lunch! I did have 2 glasses of white wine with it. Lunch was very light and I am feeling good about the new start to our week.

Tomorrow I plan to be active and catch up on some things here and wishing for a good nights sleep tonight, no reason why not right now, and maybe I can at least squeeze in some aerobic WII time! I will keep you posted, I really need to get to the market as I said but I do have some stuff. chicken breast for tomorrow night incase I don't. I will post tomorrow. Wishing you both a good night and good sleep and a great start to our new day tomorrow!!!
  • Hey y’all!

I have a NSV to share! We went out to eat last night for the first time since I started my weight loss journey, and I STAYED ON PLAN! Even was down a pound this morning from yesterday! I am super proud of myself because normally I would have given in. So yay!

OAN, I have a good bit of work I have to get done today on my masters class. It is fully online, thank goodness, so I can work from the comfort of my home, but sometimes my children keep me off task.

I hope you both have a great weekend!!

Boater, I will pray for your DH to get full recovery!

GettinFit, proud of you and your exercise accomplishments!
  • Good morning ladies and happy Saturday.

Weekend Boater. Great job on your dinner choices last night. You have been doing really good with your meals. Keep up the good work. I hope you enjoy your WII workout today. I’m with you on keeping the positive thoughts for your DHs sight being restored. To me having a positive attitude and determination goes a long way. I’m trying to apply this thinking to my weight loss journey as well

sgregg I hope all is well with you and that your weight loss plan is going good,

You ladies have a great day. I’m off to run some errands.

We were posting at the same time and I misses your post. Congrats on your NSV and on your loss That is amazing. Those NSVs are what gives us the motivation to keep going. Keep up the good work!
  • Hi ladies, a very quick fly by by me tonight. Firslty, sgregg congrats on that NSV and getting fit too It was a very good OP day for me but will write more tomorrow and catch up then, thanks
  • Good evening ladies,

Just a quick check in this evening.

Boater: Great job on another OP day. Hope you’re enjoying your evening.

Today was good for me. I did errands and to be sure I stayed on point, I packed my lunch so I wouldn’t have to grab fast food. I also wore my workout clothes and stopped at Stone Mountain for a 50 min walk before coming home.

I can’t believe January is almost over. Spring is just around the corner
