  • Hi Folks,

I'm starting this thread for those interested in the zero carb to Carnivore type of eating.

Here is a quick reference on the Carnivore Diet that has been a great health benefit for some.

    http://meatheals.com/

I have tweaked it for myself just to transition into it or stay here. My tweaks include CO and such things that are zero carb, but not carnivore. The Cocunut Oil benefits my thyroid A lot....

So I welcome all to join me if this is your cup of tea.....

  • Happy Fathers Day,

Today going to a BBQ for my hubby and making potato salad. I will eat the steak there and that's it. Hoping for no social pressure but probably won't get any...
  • Today is officially my first day. I've been mostly low carb to keto (20 carbs or less) up to now. But today is day one zero/carnivore.

Looking forward to all the benefits I've read at meatheals.com Of course everyone is different. For me it would be nice to see weight loss, Allergies gone, more energy and steady calm peaceful feelings on a more regular basis.
  • Well yesterday I ate a big bowl of potato salad. Nuff said,,,,,up one pound
  • Hi Anette,

Well Fathers day I gave into the potato salad but back on plan today. How long have you been a carnivore? Have you seen many benefits?
  • Well I'm not quite zero/carnivore yet. Been eating a little almond butter and yesterday too much with a little PB too boot. But here's the good news. Haven't had anything else except the allowed foods. I am transitioning so far and have goal in site. They say once you cheat you start over on the next day. Well here I am,,,,,day one again.....
  • Hi FinallyFree. I see you have posted on 3FatChicks in the past. Welcome back. I don't exactly eat Zero carb or Carnivore but I do try to keep my carbs as low as I can because I have diabetes and want to keep my blood sugar in a good range. It's hard to give up carbs, but I am adjusting. I'm just not 100% on plan all the time, although I wish I could do better.

Hope you continue to post and share your experience with others!!
  • Oh Hello Wannabe,,,
I remember you. Thanks for popping in. Well I'm still in transition with this WOE. I still have Almond butter.

Since I was last here II did do good with the Low carb/Keto/fasting to the point my doc said I didn't have pre-diabetes anymore and no high lipids and she told me I was no longer a heart attack risk. So she was amazed and asked me what I did. I just told her I eat mainly low carb and fast occasionally. Basically I never lost my weight to where I would like to be because of frequent cheats, but it made a difference on my health anyway. Happy about that, but time to lose some weight.

So here I am with this attempt to go zero/carnivore I hear cravings get under control, but I haven't managed yet to actually cut out the almond butter.. I plug away though. I have it as back up so I don't just go get pizza!

Hope your doing good and pop in any time.
  • Hi folks,
Made it through yesterday with no cheats and the scale went down!
  • Leaving for a one week vacation and planning to stay zero carb. We will see!
  • back from vacation,,,,,did pretty good sticking to plan, but went off now and again...Up two pounds. Back on plan today.

Had sardines and bacon so far today
  • Very optimistic today and pumped up about this Woe! I've been faultering around with this since starting this thread and doing a lot of research. I now have dedicated myself to staying on the plan. So my new start date is July 4 and I plan to go and get a physical on dec. 4 to see the results of this kind of eating.

Basically I've gotten past the craving carbs and sugar phase, so I have a lot more strength to stay on plan.

Here's is one of my most motivating websites...... Meat Heals - Revitalizing health and performance through carnivory

Lot's of testimonies of the heal benefits many have gotten from this woe. From depression to autoimmune to IBS to on and on, people healing.
  • Lost 4 pounds since the 4th.

This is the easiest diet I've ever done now that I've stopped cheating. Carb and Sugar craving completely gone.
  • Well done, any low carb diet works for me, protein reduces my appetite, however I still have a chocolate problem.
  • Hi EW,

I've heard of a person that did well on this woe with a little chocolate at times. A rule breaker but it worked for her. That's what counts.
