"To achieve perfection is to sacrifice growth"

  • "To achieve perfection is to sacrifice growth"

I've always liked this quote but I was wondering if this applied to the 'perfect bodies' a lot of individuals end up chasing.

Learning to live with an imperfect body takes in my experience an extreme toll on the mind to the point where I think it changes your personality, and perhaps for the better. That's not to say you shouldn't keep trying but maybe the ideal(perfect body) is a phantom, that your imperfections are what push and nudge you to become stronger. But it's not the strength that you're expecting from the gym? It's something stronger?

Have we had this backwards all along? I think I just blew my mind. holy moly.

    * disclaimer I may or may not of had a drink *
