  • Start small and work your way up. Have a end goal in mind of where you want to be. Do you want to run a marathon? Half-marathon? 1 mile? Whatever it is, by setting a goal you'll have an easier time staying on track.

    Invest in the right pair of running shoes.
    Go for distance rather than time - slow it down, be patient, and don't worry about your pace.
    Remember that rest days are training days, too.
    Make running a habit, even if that means getting out for a few minutes per day.
