  • Thank you Kat! See you there very soon!

  • 173 as of yesterday! 6.4 lbs in two weeks; if only this pace was sustainable.
Lifting weight at a calorie deficit is so hard, but if I'm being honest with myself, my vanity and desire to fit into size 8 clothing takes priority over my desire to overhead press 90lbs or deadlift 2 plates.
That stuff, I can work on later.
  • Congrats, Hallie! I have never been in a size 8. I will be happy getting to a 12 or maybe a 10.

I have been hovering between 170 and 171 for the past couple of weeks. I think since losing 55 lbs, my body is just trying to catch up. I will be patient though. Still eating the same things I have been eating. It will catch up eventually!
  • Kat, recomposition is real! I have a friend who has lost like 80lbs so far but still has a way to go before she reaches her goal weight. For the last 5 or so months, she's taken a break from caring about what the scale says, and had focused on hitting the gym every single day. She hasn't lost much weight at all in that time, maybe 5 lbs, but had to buy new clothes because of how much smaller she is! Weight's not important if you're turning that fat into muscle.
  • Hi everyone! Still hanging around the low 170's. 171.4 this morning. Glad all the Christmas Dinner fixin's are gone, except for the ham and that went in the freezer with 1 serving reserved for a half ham sandwich for lunch today. Even though I stayed close to my calorie allotment of 1300, I had more grain servings than usual especially at dinner a couple of days, but it was Christmas, so I really enjoyed it! I will call this "my experiment on calorie content". Going back to 1-2 grain servings/day and hopefully I will see the 160's in the New Year!
  • I deadlifted 175 for 1 set of 5 today, and since I weighted 171.8 today, I can officially deadlift my bodyweight again.
  • I am back on my weight loss goals and trying to get out of the 170s for what feels like the 200th time.

Hope this time does the trick!

Weighed in at 176 this morning!
  • Congrats, peaches on your accomplishment!

Hello, hhm6. Welcome to the thread! Hope you have great success getting out of the 170's!

This morning the scale read 169.8 for me!!! Not going to call it just yet, as my weight likes to bounce around a bit.
  • Hoping to join this thread soon. Just a pound away. Don't think I'll leave the 170s any time soon. Apparently I need to lose 22pounds to be 22 BMI but I'd be happy to be under 25 at this point.
  • 169.4 this morning. As long as I keep the grain/starch servings very low, I think I will continue on this momentum. Heading over to the 160's thread. Good luck to everyone and hope to see you over there soon!
  • 174 today, my day 1. Historically, I bounce around between 168 and 171, this time I'm determined to break past that barrier.
  • Wow you are all doing so well! Im starting my forum experience here in the 170s, hoping to be in the 160s soon!
  • I can't stand the 170's! For me, it's when I can't find anything that fits nicely, my face looks round, and I feel frumpy. I am at 175.3 and want to get out of these by Feb. I was all the way down to 155 a little over a year ago and (while I had a bit more to go to meet my running and bmi goals) I felt really good....but my diet derailed and I am now ready to regain control.
  • I made it to 177 by Christmas but managed to go up 5 pounds in (hopefully) mostly water weight since then. Back down to 178.8 today, so I thought I'd join in. I've never been to the 170s, but I'm already looking forward to the 160s!
  • Hey everyone. Made it down to 170.4 at the end of the year...I spent most of 2015 in the 170s so I am READY to get out! Gained some water weight from the two week break I took over the holidays but I am getting back to my routine starting tomorrow. The first few days are always rough but once I'm back, I'm happy!

Welcome all you newcomers and may we all see the 160s soon
