  • I feel like I haven't been on here in forever (even though I know it's not been that long). I decided to get a personal trainer and for now we are focusing on the workouts and not nutrition. So I won't even weight myself until we start focusing on nutrition.

  • danieh, enjoy your workouts. I've always wanted to try a personal trainer. But the gym we were going to had some hefty fees for one and then it looked like they were trying to kill the patrons they were working with. I still may join a gym near my job. The one my daughter and her husband went to didn't charge extra for their classes or personal trainers

    172.5 this morning down .5 of the recent gain. Hoping to get back to the 160's also
  • I hit a new low of 173.4 this morning. Thats finally a BMI of under 30.0, so I'm no longer OBESE! Woot! And just in time for Thanksgiving!

    Everyone else is doing so well too! Can't wait till we can all join Penny in the 160s!

    Just came by to say hi, I miss you all (it's very quiet in the 160s thread), and also congrats to Leopardspots for not being obese anymore! Isn't it awesome when being overweight is cause for celebration?

    love2b - you will get to the 160's I'm sure. I have faith in you

    merowi2 - it's got to be water like love2b said. I bounced like that when I hit the 170's.

    leopard - You go, girl! Can't wait til I'm overweight, too! lol

    Penny - sorry it's so lonesome in the 160's thread, you are more than welcome to post with us until we get there! Btw, I saw your post that is missing, this morning. Was in a hurry to get showered and get the dog to the groomers and didn't have time to post until now.

  • I'm 175 at the moment and hoping to be in the 160s by christmas...not sure that will happen with my grandma's cooking though!

    I eat terribly at thanksgiving but got right on track yesterday. I hit 171.4 lbs this morning. Getting close! Thats also a 50lb weight loss for me!

  • Congrats, leopard, on the 50 lb mark! Good for you, dropping in spite of enjoying turkey day!

    I am holding steady a 175.2, did not gain, but did not lose anything either. Staying on plan mostly, except 2 grain/starches during Thanksgiving dinner. I don't think calorie-wise it was way out of bounds, either. I think this is the first Thanksgiving in a long time, I have not stuffed myself until miserable. Only took a small portion of what I cooked and I was fine after that.
  • Hi everyone! I'm joining from the 180s board! I weighed in today at 179.8, I'm hoping I continue to go down and don't bounce back into 80s.

    A little about me, I started my IP alternative plan after my daughter was born 3 years ago. Quit doing it 3 weeks into it because I developed a mystery rash and hives, I thought I was having a reaction to the protein replacement meals, turned out I was allergic to the copper in my Paragard. I recently had my son in July and lost 20 pounds by breastfeeding, I was at 179 to be exact, and that wasn't my baby weight, I only gained 6 pounds when I was pregnant. I slowly stopped breastfeeding, drank more alcohol than I should have and next thing I know I weighed 193.8. Depressing wake up call. I started my alternative plan November 10, I have eaten clean every day and no alcohol and I'm almost to my lowest weight point of where I was when I was breastfeeding! I'm so happy I started this journey again!
  • Congrats, BVMarie! Glad to see you are back on track losing. That's a nice drop since Nov. 10!

    I finally got a drop after 6 days weighing in at 175.2! I hit 173.2 this morning. Guess all the carb weight is gone from T-Day, finally!
