29 and starting a new chapter

  • Hi everyone! I am new here. I always kept my weight at about 162 but when i went back to college, i have worked a desk job for years, and was in a bad deadend relationship i gained almost 40 pounds in just 4 years. I finally graduated college, got out of the bad relationship, and am now in the process of trying to get a job as a corrections officer. The last step to starting my new exciting life is to lose this extra weight that i gained from over the years. I was excited to come across this website where there are so many others who are supporting each other and dealing with the same stress/issues/frustrations that i am when it comes to loosing weight.
  • *high five* for the power of 29... I've found it psychologically useful! Preparing to enter 30s in a much better place. Congrats on college and good luck with the job hunt - when you frame weight loss as one more dragon to slay in all the awesome stuff you're doing, it CAN be done.
