  • Thanks Wannabehealthy, I too have found that if I avoid what I'm really craving and seek to fill up on "good-for me" food instead I end up going back and eating what I was craving, thus eating twice! What a demoralizing feeling hehe.

The chicken vs soup is all over now, I don't regret choosing the soup after all, it did satisfy me. I was just wondering what it means to be really tempted and if that temptation came from internal needs or external influence. I wish to build my internal cues so that I am not subjected so much to external influence. I'm ok with craving and eating ice cream, as long as that craving comes from within me. I don't like falling pray to advertising or smells or being told that I'm supposed to crave something. It's a learning process and often learning to listen to what our bodies need gets interference from vendors who are trying to entice us to buy their foods.
