Sh*t! My hand and mouth are against me!

  • I didn't even realize what I was doing. Had to get something done by noon, and wasn't paying attention to much else. Someone had put a plate of very large cookies on the edge of my desk for every one to share.

My hand snuck out of it's own volition and took one and put it in my mouth. It didn't even register until the fourth or fifth bite - and by then it was mostly gone.

I am so annoyed with myself.
  • Fall down seven times, stand up eight! -Japanese Proverb

It's a learning process, keep on!
  • Kat - just the title of the thread made me laugh out loud!!! Oh we all have those days!! I agree with Sarah - awesome proverb!! Keep going - it's what you do everyday that matters!!
  • Thank you both!

Unfortunately it turned into a full blown binge. Sad to say.

Positive side - I got up this morning and said okay - you had your day. back on plan 100% and no excuses. What's more important? buttercream frosting or getting your *** out of the pants that you can't breathe in and back into the size 10's waiting in the closet.

Turns out, being able to breathe is pretty motivating
  • The only thing to do is to get back on plan. You can only fail if you give up.
  • I don't know how many times you have tried this and I have to say each time I have I never really thought of it as a "diet" but a lifestyle change the difference is between those times and now I was more focused on the loss rather than getting healthy and there fore my mind didn't really fight me when I wanted to cheat. I have a lot more resolve this time, not sure why, but I feel what you are going through its incredibly hard to get out of our old habits. Just keep pushing you will teach your hand and mouth to join your brain :P
