The sleep aid in Nyquil is Doxylamine succinate which is the same as the one in Unisom tablets (not the gel caps) and the sleep aid in Zzzquil is Diphenhydramine HCl and is the same as Benadryl and most other sleep aids as well as the Tylenol and Advil pm. So if you use Nyquil to sleep and were worried about the sugar and alcohol you could use Unisom.
I just googled this last night. There are 93 calories in a dose of liquid Nyquil and 19 carbs, 16 from sugar. The Nyquil caps have 0 calories and 0 carbs. I hope everyone is feeling better soon!
