  • Happy New Year to ALL

I'm up 1.2 this morning weighing in at 179 due to a Waffle House breakfast the first hours of 2014 after church. I have today to eat what I want and tomorrow, I cut out breads, white potatoes, rice, sweets, chips, and junk food for the next thirty days.

    Have a great day everyone
  • I was really going on a pretty good roll, but I ate 4200 grams of sodium yesterday! I am definitely retaining water today.

  • PUPMOM5 I ate 3330 in sodium yesterday and that is only if the breakfast count on MFP was right … I'm sure it was higher. But today is a new day and we can move on. My middle son turned 15 yesterday and since it was so late when we got in we didn't cut his cake until today. So tomorrow's weigh in may not be great for me either but I promise Thursdays meals will be superb
  • Id love to Join! Plus, I see these threads with daily weight measurements and it's really encouraging to me in general, even when I haven't been involved before.

This time, I started in October at 216. Down 18 so far from the last 2.5 months.

  • Appmom, glad to have you to the thread. and 18lbs GONE you are doing great

Shyleia, back I came back the beginning of 2013 and have been trying to get back at it all year. I've been slipping up way too much, so hoping new year, new month, with bring a new start that I stick with
  • Ahh looks like we all made it to the new year! I'm definitely not where I wanted to be to end 2013 (financially or fitness wise) however, unlike the previous few years instead of moping and regretting the failures, I'm looking forward to all the potential 2014 will bring! I have a chance at a large promotion at work in the spring, and have all the pounds in the world to lose so I can reach all kinds of milestones! Super excited and ready to watch myself transform physically, mentally, and professionally while sticking around here and engaging in everyone's journeys together! Happy New Year!!

  • akelly I'm glad you are here

We can do this and we will make 2014 OUR year

I know for me it's all about focus, which I seem to lose quite frequently, smh. But I'm starting off with a plan with the help of church so I'm hoping at the end of the 32 days I will be able to add in and maintain the good habits

After yesterday's good eats I weighed in at 180.4 up 1.4 from yesterday. I expected it since I weighed 183.4 after my shower last night. I'm usually 3lbs down in the a.m. unless my calories are too low. Hoping for a nice weigh in tomorrow. I didn't eat one bad thing today. I actually surprised myself and ate a whole celery stalk. I typically won't finish it because the strings get to me. I know that's silly but it is what it is. I'm still growing up … what can I say

  • Hey Putting my toe back in the water. Have had a rough time lately. My Dad has been diagnosed with end stage lung cancer, and it has come as a real shock to us all. We are not a close family, so trying to deal with the complexities of our relationship and his illness has been tough. I weigh far more than my goal. Infact I am up to 194lbs. However, I have been experimenting with foods, exercise etc. And despite the 40lb gain, I still fit into most of my clothes. My new goal is 165lbs, so 29lbs from here. I am not proud, but actually think after 3 years of losing 145lbs, gaining some back was inevitable to a certain extent, and despite the gain, I exercise at least 3 times a week come what may, making me much fitter than I was at 153lbs.
One day at a time .
My goal then is 165lbs, my plan is low carb, and my hope is to just keep at it through the tough times ahead.
  • Starbrite, I'm so sorry to hear that! I wish your dad and family the best. It's a tough diagnosis.

  • Starbrite, so sorry to hear about your father's illness. During tough times, I find myself focusing more on my weight loss because sometimes it feels like it's the only thing I have control over. I see you're from Belgium - that's really interesting. My French professor was from Belgium, I've always wanted to go.
