  • Frances123 Oh hun! That sounds impossible especially since I am in a funk right now. Bounced back up to 171 again . I have been crazy snacking the last few weeks, so I def need to limit myself to some real low calorie snacks. If I was being good, I know I would be firmly in 160's by now. I just need to buckle down and make some changes. I just don't know what yet. I think I am going to have to sacrifice a bit in some other areas to get this weight loss thing back on track. I have to keep telling myself I am worth it!
  • MarliQQ, hope you're out of your funk! Those are rough!

    I keep sabotaging myself on weekends! I have perfect M-Fs...exercise, moderate eating...then go crazy on weekends. It's because I don't work out on Sat/Sun...when I work out, I have no appetite and I'm totally motivated. Oh well, no big deal, I'll just have to work out a very low-key workout plan for weekends...maybe a brisk walk?

  • I'm at my parents and haven't weighed for a few days. I've been eating really healthy stuff here and am sort of on plan. Keeping my fingers crossed as tomorrow morning i'll be wheighing again at my own scale at home!

    Frances123, i exercise on weekends and i find it quite relaxing. Sometimes in adition to my usual exercise routine i'll walk at the Botanical Garden (really close to my home). Maybe you can just walk around your neighborhood?

    Definitely maintaining this week with the past weekend's bake-fest. I've got 2 friends coming into town tomorrow morning (eating out, no exercise) and a weekend in North Carolina with my in-laws (same) so I'll be happy to maintain next week, too!

    Back from my 4 days of visiting with friends and family. Pro: I hiked every day and had a healthy lunch every day. Con: we ate out for supper every night and I always had fries and a grilled chicken sandwich. We ate homemade pie for dessert, too. I'm basically hoping to maintain this week and then start going down again next week. You are FLYING through the 170s! You'll be in the 160s before you know it!

  • Hello all! I'm new to the site and just weighed in at 170.8 today. The 160s are so close that I'm hoping that my desire to get me there will get me through the weekend, which is usually a serious problem time for me. Particularly since I have to take my kids to a Halloween thing that will involve buckets and buckets of candy. I hereby commit to eating NO CANDY OR SWEETS THIS WEEKEND. Not sure I'll be in the 160s by Monday, but I'd like them not to be further away.

    I so know what you mean about the weekends. I couldn't figure out why my weight loss has been so slow the past 2 1/2 months...just 6 pounds down. But when I looked over my food journal, I realized that the weekend overeating balances out my weight-loss M - F days and it's sort of a miracle I've lost anything! Example: I was 176.6 last Thursday. After a big eating weekend, I was 178.8 by Monday. Now, after working hard all week, I'm back down to 176.4. I'm not going to blow it again. Here's to committing to HEALTHY WEEKENDS!!

    How is everyone else? This is kind of a quiet thread. MarliQQ, are you still around?
