    Sue - Thanks for your kind words. This may sound morbid or weird, but the memorial service last night was almost fun...a real celebration of a life, and I got to see so many people from my hometown.
    Ian- You have done so well...hope this plateau doesn't get you down.
    Woodstock - I see that your ticker says 152...wish I could fast forward and be there...that seems so far away right now.
    Jbhigdon - I am all about the accountability. Without the structure, I really falter.
    SuperHT - All your little sunshines at the bottom of your posts for pounds lost are AMAZING!!

  • I'm sorry to read about the stress you have and the loss this week, Boatingmommy. In addition, I know how frustrating it is to not be able to keep to a routine and the effect that has on staying on plan. Sometimes I'm even frustrated when I've said yes to a dinner out with someone, and when it comes time for the event I would prefer to be at home eating my salad.

    Also, at the rate you are going, you will be at 152 before you know it!! Me, i'm looking at all the folks in the 140's and am hoping to get there (and stay there) soon!

  • Thanks Sue and boatingmommy. I am up 1.2lbs today. It looks like I am maintaining, but I just can't admit it at the moment.

    The issue for me is I am exercising a lot and eating a big lunch to fuel that. And I am not sure I can give that up for the scale as it makes my body look and feel better. Argh.

    I am not asking much. Just another 6lbs.

    10/4 - 165.5 YeeeeeHawwww!!! It's still TOM, and a drop in the middle?? I jumped off and on that scale 4 times to make sure my eyes weren't deceiving me.
    Funeral #2 today...and luncheon. I will have to take along some extra willpower to make good food choices, since I know they will be limited and all those church ladies make super yummy deserts.
    Ian - Maybe your body is turning to muscle and replacing the lighter fat. You keep on adding the muscle and you may stay at 170ish. That's not bad if you are looking and feeling great. And you look great in your picture!
    Sue - keep on chugging forward...or should I say backward?? At any rate, keep up the good work...so close to lowest!!! You go girl!

    Ian, I'll chime in with Boatingmommy to agree that if I were in your position I'd stick with a plan that is making me look and feel better - isn't that what its all about?! Your progress to date is nothing short of amazing and it seems like this is another phase that has amazing results for your fitness. I run often as well and go to the gym on non-running days. I think from reading your posts that you might run and go to the gym in the same day - this can only have positive results in the long run!

  • Thanks everyone and I will stick to the plan. I do exercise very hard and it does play havoc with my weight for several reasons. First, is definitely water both sweating and water retention. Second, might be muscle. We'll have to wait and see. And third is food. I eat a big lunch to fuel my exercise and although it is lean, the weight of the food affects the scale.

    Anyway, down 1.8lbs today. And FIL is getting better. He had his heart catheterization yesterday and they found nothing wrong. So it was just his thyroid messing him up which can be treated. If all is well he should be home in a few days.

    IAN well the stress is going away and taking the lbs with it too! So happy for the non-harsh treatment that your FIL will have to do to be well again! Yay!

    Oh I am gathering all of your determination.. I need it... Scale yesterday was all over the place 3+ lbs difference between highest and lowest weigh in.. so I did not post and today Surprise (LOL not funny tho)
