2013 Resolutions ~ Labor Day to Columbus Day

  • Everyone is welcome - you don't need to have been a part of the previous challenge to participate.

    Post your 2013 New Year's resolution. If you don't make resolutions and want to make a goal, that's fine too. It doesn't have to be a specific weight or a specific size but it does have to be SPECIFIC (i.e. Don't write "I want to be healthier." If you want to improve your health, how are you going to measure that? Do you want a specific blood pressure range? Do you want to be able to run a mile nonstop? etc).

    Next you're going to write what you're going to do from Labor Day to Columbus Day to make that happen! That's 6 weeks. What will you do for the next 6 weeks of 2013? How will you make your resolution happen?

    Mother's Day to Independence Day: -6.4
    Independence Day to Labor Day: +13.2

    From Labor Day to Columbus Day, my resolution is: To lose 9 pounds (1.5 lbs/wk)

    September 2, 2013 Starting Weight: 185.4

  • This is a great idea, and though late to the game, I would like to join!

    2013 Resolution: I am the Queen of Quitting, I never seem to make it more than 3 months on plan... my resolution for the rest of the year is to stay on plan for it.. that is 4 months, one month longer than I ever seem to be able to stay on plan. What is my plan? Calorie counting, a minimum of 30 minutes exercise every. single. day. and drinking 4 of my big bottles of water.

    From Labor Day to Columbus Day, my resolution is: Simply to stay on plan (see above). I would love to see a number in the 250s before the end of this segment.

  • My Independence Day to Labor Day resolution failed badly. I hope this one works out better for me.

    2013 Resolution: To be at or below 175 by my 30th birthday (January 1, 2014)

    From Labor Day to Columbus Day, my resolution is to lose 6 lbs.

    April Fools' Day to Mother's Day Total: -8.4 lbs
    Mother's Day to Independence Day Total: -6.6 lbs
    Independence Day to Labor Day Total: -2 lbs

    Starting weight September 2: 196.2 lbs

    Week one (ends September 9): 191.8 lbs (-4.4 lbs, -4.4 lbs total)
    Goal Weight: 195.2

    Week two (ends September 16): 194.6 lbs (+2.8 lbs, -1.6 lbs total) - Not worried about this gain. I know exactly what it is.
    Goal Weight: 194.2

    Week three (ends September 23): 191.4 lbs (-3.2 lbs, -4.8 lbs total)
    Goal Weight: 193.2

    Week four (ends September 30): 192.8 lbs (+1.4 lbs, -3.4 lbs total)

    Week five (ends October 7): 193.8 lbs (+1, -2.4 lbs total)

  • Ahh I love this thread, and I most definitely need a restart! The last challenge was a dud for me.. I just think summer really kicked my butt and my excitement!

    Labor Day to Columbus day goal: An easy 10. Lbs... To be safely in the 230's. I can do this.

    starting weight: 248.6

    Week one (ends September 9th): 247.2, -1.4 lbs
    Got on the scale this morning and saw 244.4, gonna run with that for a while.
