Does anyone know where to go buy hair accessories that are a step up from the brown plastic Goody barrettes that I buy at Wal-Mart? Basically, I'm just looking for some nice barrettes for when I need to pull my hair back off my face.

I'm in my late 40s, if that helps you to guide me. I seem to remember buying barrettes at places like Claire's the last time my hair was this long, but I was in my 30s then, and it seems like I would be too old for that store now. Am I mistaken?

Na, you're not too old for Claire's, and Goody has some higher quality, fancier barrettes and hairbands now. Might also want to try the accessories section at Kohl's or similar store.
