Anybody Want to Share Their Favorite Clean-Eating Recipe?

  • I am going to try to eat at least 75% "clean." Anyone have a can't-live-without clean eating recipe, particularly breakfast or energy bar?
  • I rarely eat breakfast but I consider this one of my clean meals:

    2p sliced mushrooms (washed)
    Bake covered at 350 for 20 minutes
    Drain the mushroom "juice" that cooks off
    Mix 1/2 cup olive oil with 1tsp parsley, 1tsp sage, 1tsp rosemary 2 chopped cloves of garlic and a little crushed red pepper (if you like things a little spicy otherwise skip it)
    Pour over, stir and re-cover and cook another 15-20 minutes.

    Cool and use a little salt/pepper. Enjoy.

    If this isn't considered "clean" well it's clean enough.
  • Breakfast is my favorite meal! I usually have oatmeal but I'll add fresh fruit, almonds or chopped pecans, &/or cinnamon, or flaxseed meal. Oatmeal has a lot of possibilities.

    I haven't been eating clean long enough to have developed a favorite recipe, but I do have some good ones. Tonight, I made a mostly clean casserole with quinoa, black beans, tomato sauce, lean ground beef, cheese & cilantro. It was pretty good!
