Quinoa

  • Are we allowed to have Quinoa?
  • You can again on phase 4...I believe. No carbs on Phase 1 and 2 though.

    No - not during Phase 1 & 2. You could include some in breakfast planning in P3 if you wanted.
  • If it's not on your sheet, or 0 carbs/0 fat/0 sugars, then no you can't have it.

    Quinoa is a grain, and phase 1 does NOT include any grains.

    Liz actually posted a recipe for quinoa pancakes and quinoa pudding in the Phase 3 breakfasts thread - I am making the pudding tomorrow! I used to love making quinoa pilaf for a dinner side, it's nice to have it back!
