  • Quote: Hello IPers!!

I am starting back on (the alternative) plan tomorrow. I had some things going on in the fall and to make a long story short and knowing myself, I opted to go off than set myself up for frustration and discouragement. Those feelings usually lead to disaster for me. The good news is that I haven't gained anything back! I've actually the past month or so felt like I was "missing" my veggies and felt "hungry" for them. And I've totally missed the structure!! It will be nice not having to think, on a grand scale, what my meals are going to be.

So, it's good to be back. I've missed everyone! Lisa, you look FABULOUS ... like a totally different person!!!!
    Welcome back

  • Just so everyone know this site has been such an amazing help for me. I find myself waking up at least an hour earlier since I have been on IP and I come here every morning for my daily inspiration. Love it! Thanks to all of you!
  • Happy Tuesday IPeeps! Nothing like a 6.5-mile jog to start the day! Enjoying my egg white sandwich and full of energy. Yesterday wasn't a great day, sadly my downfall was unsweetened ice tea at Superbowl! I joked that "maybe i shouldn't have this second glass" (not boozing it up)...and ended up awake and caffeinated until 3:30am Sunday night/Monday morning! Skped out on Mondays run, needless to say - so I was really antsy to get my exercise in after my 4-day "rest break", that's what out of town trips forgetting your running shoes does to you.

I posted this in another thread, but as of last week my pregnancy hormones have totally changed my tastes. I can't stand chicken, cauli purée, pumpkin, or....spinach smoothies! I am going back to square one and figuring out what i want again, as these were My Favorites just a few days ago! But my cucumber-lemon sorbet is still a favorite nightly palate cleanser!
  • Good morning all!!

Liz, that's gotta be a bummer having to start figuring out new tastes all over again. But then again, I guess it'll open up your options to find things you didn't like before, huh?

Well....I stepped on the scale this morning, like I do every morning, and I am down 2.5 from Thursday's WI! I know I shouldn't be on the scale daily but I have always done it...I still have 2 more days before my official WI so who knows, it could wind up being even more! It def seems like my weight loss slowed down when I reached the weight that I usually get stuck at...But I stuck with the program and kept seeing the numbers slowly going down. Now I see this big drop! So I'm over this hump (just a hump, not a plateau)...2.5 more and I'll be at 25 LBs lost!!!
  • Lemon cucumber sorbet!? That sounds heavenly!!
  • This week's NSV - I am down another pants size WOOHOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have a great OP week everyone!
  • Good morning! Starting my third day and feeling good. Last two days where not as hard as I thought they would be. This is my second round on IP. I remember being famished the first round. I gained 14 pounds back from the 50 I lost so it was time to reconnect and get focused on reaching my weight loss goals and staying healthy! I turn 58 the end of May and retire from my 30 year career end of June 2013. Starting this new chapter in my life begins with a trip to China with my Mom. It's going to be a great year! Thanks for the support:-)
  • Had my WI this morning. Almost 1/2 way to gaol with 2.2 pounds down for the week. Feeling good about my progress. Still can't imagine where I'd be if I didn't start IP. Hmmm, maybe that's a new mantra or jingle. "Can't imagine where I'd be without IP"
  • I'm back
    Hi everyone,

I had done IP in Boston and I did great on it 8 months ago. Then we had a huge move to Utah and I gained it back. Sooo, here I go again..week 4 closes for me tomorrow and I am down 11 pounds. It seems like I am losing slower the second time around. Does anyone know if that is typical? I have 25 more to go and I want this off!!!! P.S. How do you put the weight ticker at the bottom of a post??

Check out the first post in this thread. It will tell you the requirements for getting a ticker and there is also a link to the instructions for setting it up.
  • Funny..NSV...last night I was in the kitchen when my five year old daughter ran in and grabbed the back of my pants to pull me toward her..well my pants slipped right over my hips and down to my knees..of course she broke into hysterical giggles..my 8 year old son was mortified..hee-hee

I knew they were baggy but geez.....my husband said"take them off and throw them out"..it was a great stress relief moment in an otherwise hectic time of day!
  • Ha Ha Ha about the pants, love it!

An inch or so of new snow this morning pretty but hate to go out.

tomorrow is WI, hope it is good. have a great day everyone, I will check back in this evening on you all
  • yeah..i think I have a ticker..test post

    edit..yup..cool!
  • Carb Counting
Hello All! Hope life is treating you well this week!

I'm going to start looking into alternatives but I can't find the nutrional facts I need to stay within/under to copy Ideal Protein. I know it's on here somewhere, I've read it before!! I'm having trouble in my searches for it. I'm talking about staying under the 20/25 g of carbs, how to factor in sugar alcohol, etc. How much protein should be in shakes. Can anyone point me to the post with that information? Thank you for your help!
