Miracle Noodles??

  • Miraclenoodles.com I have been reading a tiny bit about this miracle noodles and miracle rice... Okay, is this a real thing? Are they any good? Can we have them??? I know, obviously, they are not going to taste just like noodles, but If they are anything similar in texture, I would love something like this... Please tell me I am not getting too excited about this and I can order some!
  • There are many previous threads on miracle noodles. I would suggest searching those and spending some time reading them. There are many who love them, and just as many who hate them...
  • Yes we can use Miracle noodles/rice. They are basically vegetable fiber that has been formed into something else -that's why it's 0 carbs and we can have it under the 0/0/0 rule. If you search the forum, there are suggestions and recipes for using them! Just be VERY aware of serving sizes, I think 1 bag is usually 2 servings.
  • Great thanks! I will continue looking around the forum for for recipes and such but I have already placed an order! If they are anything at all similar to rice or noodles then I am psyched!
  • Hey, Scorbett! I really enjoy reading your posts. Always very informative. I just noticed that you are within a hair of your goal weight!!!!! That's awesome !!! You must be very excited, and I am definitely excited and happy for you!

I got a big box with 12 packets and all went to the garbage - this product is not for all palates, I can't stand them at all, it is like I was eating rubber bands, no flavor at all, and they are so hard to chew, good luck to you, probably buy samples, just like the WF products, same thing, I got burned...

Thanks!!! It is exciting and a little nerve-wracking to be this close to the end, but it's really just the end of the beginning for me - the real work is in maintenance! Couldn't do it without the awesome folks on this forum!
  • I've always wondered How they tasted lol
  • I just had some and did a Chinese stir fry with shrimp and loved it.
  • Are miracle noodles the same as shiritaki noodles?
  • Quote: Are miracle noodles the same as shiritaki noodles?
Not exactly. Miracle noodles are 100% plant fiber, while shirataki noodles are made from Tofu and have some carbs. Always check the nutritional info!
  • Definitely look up some recipes.
I use them all the time.
What I find is the best is to... If I'm making it in a sauce, make it up the day before and let the noodles soak in the sauce overnight...They are softer (less rubbery) and they take on the flavor.
Always be sure to rinse the noodles and boil for a minute in water before you use them, because they do have a slightly strange odor/flavor when not rinsed and boiled properly.
If I'm using them like Chinese noodles in a stir fry, I boil them in chicken or beef broth instead of water. Great flavor!
I put them in soup, eat them straight, pasta sauce, stir fry...

I made the rice once, and thought it was actually a little mushy. I prefer cauliflower rice.
  • I use NoOodle shirataki noodle (not the tofu kind) in my stirfry. YUM!
  • I love them!

As others have said, make sure you rinse well, pat dry then "pan-dry" them in a hot skillet to get any moisture out.
