Anybody lifting weights?

  • Hi, I was wondering if there are many out there lifting weights?

    I got sick and tired of the whole focus being on food so I got a personal trainer, stayed off the scale and for the first time in years I'm seeing progress. I started out only being able to lift the bar but am up to bench pressing 60lbs. I have lost 3 inches off my butt. Once I had an exercise habit down I started watching what I am eating.

    Is anyone out there interested in sharing stories, motivating each other? I could use a buddy or a few people to post with to keep me honest.

  • Hi Adena -- congratulations on your awesome progress! My story is pretty much just like yours and I ended up losing 122 pounds along the way. There is a whole forum for us ladies who lift -- look under "General Diet Plans" and it is the "Body For Life/ Bodybuilding" forum. Feel free to jump in and start posting.
