Hi locopollo - sorry this is a bit off topic, I looked to see if I could send you a PM but I guess I'm too new for that option.

I noticed your stats are kind of similar to mine, and am wondering if you could share your experience with IP with me? I just started a thread called "If you had to guess" if you wanted to post there.

Again, sorry for hijacking the thread. . . .

I did have a great meal at Foxwoods...one thing was a side of truffled mac and cheese!!! UGH! YUMMO!!!

I'm on day 5 of my reboot and it's going really well. I just wish I took the advice of someone (a few weeks ago) who said to do a reboot then to lose the weight! It really is coming off!!! I was only 7 pounds over and then during my last cheat I gained and didn't lose the weigh so it became a true 10 pounds over... Totally stinks..BUT now I'm only 6 over!!! WOO HOO!!! Three more pounds and my pants will feel so much better and than three more I'll be at goal and satisfied!!!
We always go to Foxwoods, but we hang at MGM the whole time...very modern, hip, great great food! Love the Italian (Alta Strata), Shrine is the best Asian I have ever had, we love Scorpian Bar (sitting outside on the patio overlooking the woods), the top of Pequot Tower is the Paragon...it is amazing. Juniors at MGM has great comfort food. Of course Cedars steakhouse in the middle section has great lobster rolls and prime rib sandwiches at the bar.

We have been hanging by the pool at MGM all summer.

I know the feeling....I start teaching today and my 8's are too tight to wear...hopefully in a week or so. But I think I am in ketosis.

I must admit it was nice to be 16 lbs thinner this summer than last summer so I am going to work this program and do a good reboot! I don't have a time frame in mind yet, just one day at a time.

Good luck and have a good day!
I have about the same to lose, started on Monday....think I am in ketosis this morning.

Hi darbs! Day 3 for me-I am also in ketosis. Thank god the headache I had yesterday is gone. I think intense exercise helps get ketosis going, although I always seem to be able to get there pretty quick.

Sad but true-last night was nfl season opener. I waver looking at the beer and wings my dh was enjoying when I got home from the gym. But I am committed to this reboot until I am back at my goal! This morning I am so glad I did! It gives me confidence this weekend will be successful!

Good morning booters! Well, day 6 for me!! I started at 170, day three 169, yes I was discouraged but I know the plan works so I just plugged along...Day 6........165.2!!! I feel so good. In control! I can't wait to get down to 160! I will clearly be off in 14 days because that's my limit for ketosis (after my 5 month trek the first time)! Just a personal decisions.

Keep up the great work booters!!!!

A couple times yesterday (day 3) I thought I was in ketosis, but wasn't sure, but positive today...I too go into ketosis quickly. I am actually enjoying it so far...hopefully I can carry this excitement with me for a month.

Awesome....great job

did you see my post above to you about Foxwoods?

We do like Mohegan Sun, but we stay for either 79 dollars or free at Foxwoods so that is why we go there (MGM), my aunt lives in Groton and loves Mohegan.

Hi all-

Well I didn't reboot when I thought I was going to. Today has to be my first day on plan. i had rotator cuff surgery on Aug. 31. This time I think they had a rookie intubate me because I had a very sore throat for several days. I was taking painkiller and anti inflamatory and it still hurt. The shoulder did too. I had kind of forgotten that part. So with all these meds, I couldn't take them on an empty stomach and at 2 a.m. I wasn't eating veggies! So today will be my first day. I would like to lose 15 lbs. Looks like all of you are doing very well. Keep up the good work!

Oh yes I did. Trying to ignore it b/c all the food suggestions sound amazing!!! lol.

I just got offers for $49 at Mohegan (mid week of course)...I've never taken advantage of it but let a friend and her husband use it one time. They got it for $79. Can't beat that! MGM sounds awesome, and the pool sounds great. I haven't explored Mohegan that well. Just go down for a bite and some slot playing...I've hit some comedy shows and concerts there too. They're looking to put casinos in MA. Springfield, MA has been mentioned...That's sooooooooooooo close!!!

I'm planning a trip to Ireland with my mom so I'm holding off on spending extra cash at Mohegan...maybe next Spring I'll head down there...Fun, fun! Does it take you long to get down here?

It take a little over 3 hours to MGM/Mohegan...we are avid casino goers....we also hit up PA (there is a Mohegan Sun in Wilkes-Barre and the Sands in Bethlehem). We go to the Turning Stone in Verona NY quite a bit too. We also go to Las Vegas once or twice a year....we are very good about sticking to a budget and take advantage of coupons and free rooms often.

Ireland...awesome

I remember you're a (young) empty nester. Right? That's great you get the chance to travel so much. My DH doesn't like to travel so I'm heading out with my mom to Ireland (we are now deciding if we want to add on Amsterdam for a couple of nights at the beginning). Would love to see the Anne Frank museum.

We stick with a budget at Mohegan...actually hubby has me stick to a budget...if it was up to me we may be in financial trouble!!! Just kidding.

Mohegan takes us just under an hour and we go about 3 - 4 times per year. We have two dogs who we don't like to leave home for long periods of time so we've yet to spend the night there. That's why I'm now considering going with friends or my mom. Love the excitement of casinos.

Hi Lisa, Welcome!

Hope everyone is having a good Friday! Day 7 reboot for me...going well. DH got some pizza last night and I wanted it so bad...the smell was outrageous (I told him it was okay to eat it in front of me...he was hesitant, but he shouldn't restrict his eating). Anyway, he's so gracious and told me it didn't taste as good as it looked or smelled!! LOL Good man!

[/QUOTE]

Now there is my situation in a nutshell!!!

I am up 5 pounds over the summer but even with phase 1 the past few weeks I seem to be losing and gaining the same 5 pounds.

I know it will suddenly cool down here and
i am scared to break out the size 8 dressier pants.
I was sick all day yeasterday with a violent migraine so maybe ketosis is kicking in again.

I am not sure what is different this time about the jumpstart with phase 1 which doesn't seem to be happening.

The only thing different is how I am getting my veggies.

I take 2 cups of them each day as spinach in my shakes and the rest as oven baked veggie chips (zucchini; kale).
I am wondering if these methods are breaking down the veggies too much and I am not getting the required fibre.

Today is another start in the quest for comfy size 8s! Not sure how many size 10s survived the purge when I was packing away my winter stuff and I am afraid to look.

I feel the pain....I only had 2 (10's) survive the purge....I am back to school (teaching) and I have to dress up every day....I am wearing dresses that don't zip right now. Hopefully, I am back in an 8 soon, but I faced the scale and I am up quite a bit.....21 freakin pounds. Lost 83...a wonderful 8 months in maintenance perfect....the four more months were I gained about 5 pounds total and now....another 15 in the past 2 months (summer).

I am so mad and disappointed at myself....I thought after 8 perfect months...I had this mastered.....LESSON learned.

Day 5 of perfect phase I. Looks like I am on plan until Halloween at least.

postive side still down 62 and a size 10 is WAY better than 18.

Happy Friday, everyone!

I'm down 6 lbs and 1.3% body fat in 3 weeks. I was a bit discouraged last week because I didn't see a loss on the scale but it may have been because it was TOM. My clothes sure feel a lot looser now! I can wear most everything in my closet now comfortably . When I get back down to my phase-off goal, my jeans will fit more like I want them to. I love this plan!
