I've had stretch marks since I was 12/13. I wasn't even overweight then and was actually really active. Two different doctors told me that I basically just had "bad luck". The one actually said "bad luck", the other told me about a girl who was really thin, always had been, and was covered. That didn't make me feel better...
I read a post by someone else somewhere in which they simply suggested that those with stretch marks "dress appropriately". For those of us who have them, well, everywhere...that means covering a good portion of the body up. Calves, stomach, upper arms...it's hard to shop that way. Do you realize the number of shirts I've put on that were specifically designed to not cover the entire upper arm area? I search, and search, and search and I'll be darned if the vast majority of them don't show some amount of my marks.
So my question is...after losing weight, would you rather dress "appropriately" or would you rather just wear whatever appeals to you regardless?
