Im on Seasonique birth control and Ive been haveing a light period for over a week now! I normally get my period every three months and Im not due to get it for another two weeks! Ive never had problems before starting the diet. Im on week 5 of IP. Anyone experience this??

Maggie ~ This diet can cause hormone issues. 6 days after I was on the diet I started. Wasn't my TOM. I know that some birth control can be affected and women get pregnant while on this diet. Something about our fat cells holding the female hormone and when we lose weight rapidly it causes a huge release of the hormone which can lead to more often periods, pregnancy, etc. Some women end up having no period as well.

Oh man! Well hopefully it stops soon! This sucks!

Yep, I staryed a week and a half early. My weight loss hasnt budged for 5 days now. Getting kinda frustrated

Don't weigh everyday it's just going to stress you out. I will admit I'm obsessed with my scale so I weigh everyday. I've found I can go 5-6 days without any weight coming off and overnight the swoosh fairy comes to take a couple pounds away.

I am lucky that this diet did not alter anything with my TOM, but yes, I have heard from many that it does.

Maybe it is a good idea to talk to your dr. about the birth control pill, since it might not work 100% while on this diet.

My first TOM on this plan arrived 2 weeks early and lasted for 16 days... I'm usually a 4-5 day kinda girl so that was cr@zy for me!

I just got my TOM just over a week early this time.... fingers crossed it doesn't stick around that long this time!

I had two pergnancy scares because of IP I think, my period came early both times, and that is what happened when I was actually pregnant, so i freaked right out... haha I stressed out bad until I got my negative test results. As being pregnant was a major factor in my weight gain.. i definetly am not ready for that all over again.. and like MOm3 my period is always on the same day every month, now its all messed up.

Im going on 3weeks now!! This sucks! There is a reason i went on Seasonique! I get horrible cramps..when will it end?!?! I go to Mexico in 12 days and really dont want to deal with this!

you knw i had horrible cramps to but im into all natural medicines, so birth control is a big no no for me.. i just bared with it.. and they were bad! i never left my room, i would throw up.. etc etc.. once i started IP my cramps are not as bad.. very minor actually, i can go to work and everything.. one plus i guess.. i think it could also be due to allt he watre i drink.
