And so it begins...again.

  • Hello, My name is Andrea. My college orientation is March 22nd, and by then I have 23.8 lbs to lose. My goal weight is 110 and my current weight is 133.8. I wish I could tell you that I have followed this diet to the letter, but I would be lying. I cheat. All the time. But it's not whole meals, its more like little picks here and there. Like a piece of my mom's sandwich or a piece of the french bread my dad brought home. And Starbucks. Oh my gosh, I can't seem to kick Starbucks!! I get the skinny caramel latte so it's only 160 calories and sugar free but still its not part of the diet. And fruit. I try so hard not to eat fruit but I work until 8:30 and then I have homework to get done and by he time 11 rolls around I'm starving so I'll have an apple which is also a big nono. As for exercise I walk everyday for about an hour and sometimes I do squats. But I'll admit I'm a firm believer in lose it then tone it!
So I guess the whole point of this thread is for pointers on how to not pick at food and what you personally do every morning to keep yourself motivated!
  • wow, no offence but you're almost 5'6 and you want to be 110? it seems like you're at your ideal weight already for your height.

Are you going to be starting IP or have you started already?
  • I had many "kind of" restarts like that in November/December.

When jan 2 rolled around I decided that it was time to buckle down and get back op. my initial p,an was to make it to valentines day. I hope to be near goal then!

You need to plan to commit to the rules if you want to have success.

Good luck. And make sure that your goal is realistic for you!
  • If you want IP to work, then you have to stick with it! It won't work if you cheat on it like other diets [calorie counting or something like that] just keep your head in the game

everyone is different lol. maybe the OP just feels more comfortable at 110, than what they are right now. I'm 5'5something, almost 5'6" and i want to be 115-120. Not sure yet, but I think it's just a personal preference.
  • I think it is more important to be in a healthy BMI than to be at an unhealthy personal preference.
  • I just don't pick at food because I figure if I'm going to do that I may as well save myself the trouble & the money and try calorie restriction. It's not easy. I miss banana's, yogurt, carrots, and whole grain bread. I really look forward to when I can add them back. Today is my 8th day OP, and it feels like it's been a lot longer hahaha. I guess its because it feels like I've been wanting my "normal" foods for a long time. Anyways, good luck with not cheating and try thinking of it being a waste of money to prevent you picking at other foods.

    +1

I don't pretend to be an expert or know the details.... that was simply my first reaction as well.
  • just that I have a sister-in-law who is 5'5 and weighs 135 and she is smoking HOT, she looks so good, when she went down to 130 she looked too skinny and almost anorexic
