  • O.K. Here's the next segment of 10 days in the lifeboat.

Remember this is not a "challenge" but a place for accountability to ourselves and support.

So what is your plan for this 10 day segment?
  • My plan for the first 5 days is to detox - I have a rough patch and need to get through some carb withdrawal. Fun, Fun!

We leave on vacation on Saturday - my goal is to come home no heavier than I am now.
  • My goal is to work on healthier snack and weighing stuff (pretzels!) that come in big bags. Now that I get fewer and fewer WW points I've got to rein in my snacks and get healthier ones w/i easy reach.
  • Today being Monday is my official weigh in day. I was thrilled to see 328 on the scale - a loss of 4.2 lbs. this week.

I took part in my first challenge on these boards and my goal was to lose 10 lbs. by Christmas and I reached that goal today. I am definitely motivated to keep going - taking it a day at a time (sometimes an hour at a time!)

Hope the next 10 days is good to all of us!
  • Great news Vicki!

Hooray, a new 10 days! I'm behind target for my goal exercise minutes, so my goal is to make that up and get back on schedule.
  • Gonna keep my mind set to not let stressful situations send me diving into the pantry. Specifically that big bag of Lay's potato chips my son has stashed away in his bedroom.

Have a great 10 days everyone!
  • I had 2 good days out of 10 in the last lifeboat. I am planning to do much better this go-round.

My grocery store run was a success in that I bought high protein lunch stuff snacks for work and no overtly all carb treats.

I brought the cookies in from the neighborhood cookie exchange into work. They'll be gone by noon.

    Goals for this 10 days:
Protein monitoring - push 100g per day
Make sure I take all my vitamins on weekend (this is mandatory because of surgery)
Realize when I'm stress-eating (parents are due to arrive for Xmas on the 22nd!)

    Hugs,
    Ratkity
  • My plan for the next 10 days is to watch my cookie intake. It is the holidays and therefore very hard to not eat the cookies so I am just going to watch how much I take in.

  • In my excitement earlier, I forgot to make goals for the next 10 days. My goals are to 1) stay on track with my calorie counting & 2) Get out daily for a walk. I have no big events over the next 10 days so I should be pretty safe - now the 10 days after that are scary to think about, but one step at a time!
  • Oh cookies, you are so hard to resist. This year I'm going to try to "forget" to make any. Work canceled the Christmas party so I don't have to bake this year, and if hubby doesn't remember to ask for sugar cookies, I'll be scot-free!
  • Good day yesterday, even got a walk in. I must duplicate it today.
  • My goal are to focus on me! Drink more water and get some exercise in daily. I am going to keep my calories at 15-1600. I did great yesterday until dinner time which my daughter cooked. I had a lean steak planned but she made poppy seed chicken and I have no control with that stuff!

I have decided not to do any baking this year - husband is dieting too and is fine with it. He off course has better willpower than me and can stop himself at 1 or 2 shortbread. I just don't stop . The kids are adults and no complaints from them either.

Stayed within calorie limits yesterday but didn't go for a walk - plan to do that today.
  • Yesterday was a much better day for me - until after dinner. Then some sampling of the sweets - GRRRRRR. Feels so much better than the last few days though.
  • Hey I'm joining a day late - I hope that's okay! My goals for the next 9 days are to drink lots of water, track every day and not go over my calorie allotment. I'm having hand surgery tomorrow, so I won't be able to exercise for the next couple of days. But I can stay within my calorie limit and drink plenty of water!
