  • Here we go! We were way over the 500 post limit, so I started a new thread for us. LET'S DO THIS!! 120s, here we come!

  • I weighed in at 130.0 lbs exactly yesterday, despite being part way through freshers' week, so I'm hoping to be out of here soon.
  • ^congrats! im hanging onto m 139 right now, and even though i started out today really focused i got frustrated and splurged on some cake.
Here's to tomorrow being a better day
  • TheManekiNeko, congrats! You are SO close!

100percentME, I did the same thing... splurged on cinnamon toast. Oops!
  • Been a really rough and emotional few weeks (feels like I say that every time I post). Weighed in the last 2 mornings at 135.4, which is pretty much a 0 loss for the last few months when you factor in the ups and the downs. Trying to focus on the fact that I'd much rather have that, then find I'm creeping up.

I'm getting the hang of keeping my eating under control with the occasional slip-up. My problem is the increasing laziness to exercise as the weather gets worse and worse. Might look into getting some workout DVDs or the Wii Zumba game for my apartment tomorrow, but I'm always so self-concious to work out in the same space as my father.

Here's to sticking at it in the face of adversity, ooph.
  • Fayve, you aren't alone. I'm at 134, which is actually UP two pounds from July! If we stick with it, our weight WILL go down though.
  • I lost TWO pounds this week --- Yay me!!!!

The thing I have learned through this (sometimes slow) process is that you can have the occasional splurge or indulgence and still lose. Maybe you won't lose as fast as you would like but you will still lose. I had 2/3 of a 12 inch thin crust pizza with a glass of wine tonight. I'll walk it off at some point this week but won't stress too much about it.

Here are some inspirational quotes I found on the WW site. These have kept me focused this week.

"Steady and slow, learn as you go. Lose too fast, it may not last."

"It matters not how slowly you go, only that you do not stop."

"I may not be where I want to be, but I'm better than where I was."

    Have a great week all!
  • Hi ladies, I'd like to join you - though I hope not for long! I traveled a lot in September and ended up eating off-plan quite a bit, so I gained up to 134.0 lbs. But after a few days in a row on-plan I'm back to 130.8 lbs, about where I was at the beginning of the month. My next benchmark is at 129.0 lbs and I'm excited to get there!
  • Morning, ladies! I am at 135.0 this morning. Half way to getting out of the 130s. Sweeeeet.

Yesterday I did a Zumbathon, and it wasn't exactly what I thought it would be. Fun, but I like my regular classes better. I hate feeling like I'm learning all the moves, b/c I don't get as good of a workout. I was there for about 1.5 hours before heading out. My blood was pumpin', so I went for a 3.3 mile bike ride when I got home.
  • Kidjng, thank you for the quotes. I especially love the last one... Definitely puts things in perspective.

ERHR, hope you're able to leave us soon!

Chickie, I just begna taking zumba classes and it's so much fun... It really makes an hour of exercise fly by. A zumbathon sounds fun!

My weight this morning was 133.4. I was pretty off-plan yesterday, so I think it's a trick, but I'll take it!
  • OhThePlaces -- do you weigh yourself every day? I guess I could ask the same question of everyone. I only "count" my Sunday weigh in at WW but I do monitor my weekly situation on my own as my weight fluctuates by up to 2 lbs in a week and some days I eat more bulk/carbs in food vs. soups and salads.

ChickieChicks - I went back and looked at my weight and activity logs from April/May and noticed that I was losing weight faster when I was doing zumba at least 3 days/week for an hour. I'd like to pick it up again but the studio where I was taking these classes is very small and their zumba classes are very popular - I always felt too cramped to freely move around. Kinda bummed about that as it was the most convenient place to my home and I am the type of person who feels that if a work out is not convenient I'm not going to do it!
  • Yes I do. I don't freak out over fluctuations in either direction, but I've found that weighing myself only once a week is dangerous, because on any given day it may not show a loss and so by weighing every day I feel like I have a better idea of whether or not my weight is sloooowly going down.
  • kidjng- I love Zumba! I only do it 1-2x a week, to keep my workouts varied. It is super popular at our Y, so I have to get there a half-hour early to line up. Thankfully the day classes aren't too crowded, but I went on a Sunday once and WILL NEVER DO THAT AGAIN! Augh!!!! ;-)

Weighing in- I weigh myself any day that I actually remember to step on the scale before eating breakfast. LOL It's like I can't "count it" if I'm not toally empty and nekkid. LOL It's probably every 2-3 days now. Also, I never count gains. Fluctuation is so normal, so once I hit my low number, I just stay on plan and that is my official number. If I go up 1-2 pounds from hormones, water weight, etc.....I just chalk it up to fluctuation. But I'm still losing pretty steadily, and haven't stayed at the same weight for more than 3 weeks yet.
  • uughh, last night my evil Wii Balance Board says that I weigh 130.25...I am going to cheat and say it is a days worth of food! Like ChickieChicks says, I am not counting "night" weight! lol
I was 129 last week so I am not sure what happened (haven't changed my diet). I want to see 125 on that screen.
  • Well, I've been on a roller coaster... busy, sick, TOM, up to 133 then down as low as 128. Yesterday 129.0 and today 130.0 (prolly cuz I just started exercising again after being sick -- I was POP and then some yesterday). It was great to see the 120s but I want to see 129 as my high normal weight, not just a sometimes thing. Only a couple days left in September and I hope I see them again! I am going to give it my best!
