  • Hey All,

I was wondering which program you recommend on the computer for tracking calories.

I would like one that I can enter a recipe and get a calorie count if that's possible.

    Thanks everyone...
  • Personally, I use SparkPeople.

I will say that, at first, SparkPeople can look a little overwhelming, but once you get to know your way around, it's pretty handy.

You can input your own recipe, tell it how many servings it's for, and it will give a nutritional breakdown for it too.
  • I love caloriecount.com I found it the other day and it is wonderful.
  • You can do that on the DailyPlate.com. Its my favorite! Very user friendly!
  • I really like my fitness pal (it won't let me list the website so take out the spaces between the three words lol). I used to do sparkpeople but I've found that myfitness pal has the most extensive food database that I've come across so far. I don't know that I've found a food that isn't in there! It's very easy to use too and has a phone app to use on the go like some of the others have but try out a few, you'll find one you like pretty quick. All those listed here are great too

I love my fitness pal! I have the app and it's sooooo easy to use
  • I love the Daily Plate.
  • I love caloriecount.com its the very first time I try to actually count my calories and they have an app for my iphone as well so I don't have to be glued to my computer to log every thing down you can also log activity that you do as well.
  • on line trackers
I have used fitday and calorie count but my favorite is My Fitness Pal. Best database of foods out there and you can count calories and carbs. You can also put in just an instant calorie count if you want. Calorie Count is good for entering your recipes. I didn't like Spark People for entering recipes because it was hard to adjust for serving size.
  • I forgot I haven't enough posts to edit...

My Fitness Pal is also excellent for entering your recipes. It is very user friendly and is the best I have found that is free.
  • I like www.Fitday.com
  • I love the my fitness pal app for my anadroid phone. It has every possible food. I went to Chuck E Cheese for a birthday party I was able to enter in a slice of cheese pizza and a Sam's Club cupcake. It makes it so easy to stay within you calories. Only think it is tells me to eat 1200 calories but I know that is too low for me so I eat about 1380.
  • I've been using the my daily plate on livestrong.com !
  • I love Caloriecount.com!! I find it very user friendly..
  • I also use the daily plate on Livestrong. It's my favorite one I've used so far to count calories. There seems to be a larger database of food items, and I think it's really easy to use.
