Those of you around 5'3, what is your goal weight?

  • I'm 5'3....actually more like 5'2 and a half and my goal weight is 125, although I may opt to lose another 5lbs when I get there, depending on how comfortable I am in my own skin- ideally I'd like to get to 125 and then really work hard on gaining muscle......I'm working on that now too. I've had friends who I'm sure mean well tell me "That's unhealthy etc..." but my doctor tells me it's not and I don't feel it is and neither does my Fiance and some other friends. I have a small frame. Please share what your ideal/goal weight would be for those of you around 5'3, I'm curious.

  • I am 5'4 and my major goal is 145 right now... i have a fairly large body structure but i will reassess when i get to 145....145 is within a normal BMI too

  • My goal weight as I've listed it is pretty low, but realistically I'd like to get down to 115-120 and then re-evaluate. I think it's important for girls to have curves and I'd hate to lose my boobs! xD
  • Your goal isn't unhealthy!!! I'm around your height (somewhere between 5'2" and 5'3", depending on the day), and my goal weight is 110, which still would put me within the normal BMI range. I actually think that I'll call goal and start maintenance before that (especially considering I'd like to be a little bit muscular rather than just thin), but having my ticker yell, "35 lb to go" at me (as opposed to 25 or 30) makes me work that much harder. I was 110 in high school, and I felt good at that weight.
  • I'm 5'4 and my initial goal weight is 140. I have always been chunky. I've hovered around 180-200 for as long as I can remember. Even now at 160, I'm smaller than I can ever remember being, so 140 will be such an accomplishment to me. I will re-evaluate at that point.

    I don't think 120-125 at 5'3 is unhealthy. In my opinion, I wouldn't think you should go below that though.
  • I'm 5'3" and my main goal right now is just to get to 140lbs. From there I'll decide if I want to lose any more or not.
  • My goal weight is between 120-125. I have a very small upper body and carry the majority of the weight around my hips and butt.
    I want to be fit and toned. But I still want to keep my big booty
  • Im between 5'3 and 5'4, so I opt to say Im 5'4. My goal weight is 140 right now. My body composition is weird though and my DDD sized chest absorbs "pounds". When I weighed around 130 when I was in my early teens, I wore a size 0-2 pants. I guess when I reach 140, Ill see how I feel about moving my goal even more.

    My goal is 120 but when I get to my goal of 135, I'll pause and re-consider.
    I made 136 a few years ago, and felt well, looked good clothed and was slim without being thin. I've never been thin thin, so not sure if it would suit me or not.

    Right now at 137 I feel not near really happy, I still see flaws mainly in my tummy and thighs. I'm happy with my progress and proud of myself, don't get me wrong- I'm just not quite comfortable in my own skin yet. My stomach still has a pooch, right in the center and it looks weird. I should post a pic.

    My goal is 127...I was 115 in high school, but since I have 4 kids now I doubt I can get any lower then 125. We shall see!
  • My goal weight is 128. I'm pretty close right now, but far from feeling comfortable in my own skin. My plan is get to my goal, and then hang out there for 6 months or so. Only then, if I still feel chunky, will I consider losing more.
