Electric Grills

  • I bought a Hamilton Beach grill last year after checking out the George Foreman grills. More room in my $60 HB and it came with a timer/auto-shutoff. That made a difference to me - I always walk away and forget stuff when I'm sitting here at the PC. Don't you?

I got it to cook burgers and small steaks/chops on indoors in the winter. I found the meat steamed too much and didn't really get that *grilled* taste I wanted, tho.

However I think it does incredible bagels, and quesadillas with no fat added. It does drain off a bunch of liquid when I throw frozen skinless chicken breasts on and lets me do three or four at a time for storing and adding to meals during the week. Nice flavor cooked this way.

Cleans up easily, too. Dishwasher safe grill plates.

Anyone using one of these little wonders for something more interesting or convenient?
