I've gained 25lbs!!

  • Having a bit of an in-depth clean of the whole house, and took the vac nozzle down the back of the settee - very hairy, all those dogs - found all sorts of socks and pens etc but what also came up was the little coin purse I've been looking for for months! (Not a domestic goddess )

Glad to have the purse, it's my little Radley treat in a sea of more budget handbags, but even more so because ~ it had £25 in change in it! Woohoo! As this month I'm selling my camera on ebay to pay vet bills, believe me, this £25 is a literal god-send: it should get me to the end of the month food-wise. Phew!

Now, where else can I clean.....?
  • LOL! What a great play on words! You know where all American minds went on that one.

Good for you! I love happy surprises like that. My happy monetary surprises usually come the first time I put my winter coat on for the season and in the laundry.
  • Love it! And you couldn't have said it if Britain had gone to the Euro. (Just realized there is no proper "pound" sign on this keyboard but my typewriter has one. Of course it's pretty archaic even to have a typewriter so...)

I just may do some "deep cleaning" and see what comes up.
  • That title got me curious, but I knew that as well as you've been doing lately it couldn't be weight.

I've noticed that I clean more lately as well. I think it must be that as we start to feel cleaner on the inside, we want our surroundings to match.

Congrats on finding the extra poundage. I hope you gain a lot more.
  • Just realized I spelt "pounds" wrong in the title!

Pounds cash is always just pounds; or £££s.

I guess I've just been writing about weightpounds for too long!
  • Wonderful ! The sofa monster is amazing, when it suddenly regurgitates something good. Thanks for the smile
  • What a wonderful surprise! When I need cash I can usually find some in pockets and old purses. Maybe you should check those.
  • That's awesome! I wish it would happen to me.
