Breasts. Yeah, those things.
So, let me tell you where this whole rant stems from. I have large breasts. They're around a 42 DDD, but even those bras can be a little tight at times. Yeah, they can be a real pain in the butt most of the time. I get really bad neck and back aches that ALWAYS turn into bad headaches. But, they're mine none the less, they're mine, so of course I try to love them.
I also have a mother who has a smaller chest and always, always talks about getting chest implants. I find her starting at my chest most of the time and I've even walked in on her wearing my bras.
Recently, my aunt had breast reduction surgery, because she couldn't stand the back problems anymore, which is totally understandable. My mom ended up going with her to the surgery and seen her topless without the bra. When my mother got back from the surgery, she immediately described to me what she saw. "They were sagging! It was so disgusting and something she needed to do!" Now... my first thoughts were Well, YEAH they sag. She was a G cup, even a D cup has saggage and I know mine certainly do. It's called GRAVITY.
It honestly just set me off. I've heard a lot of similar comments in the past about large breasts, but this just topped the cake. I don't think people even know how real large breasts look like anymore, unless they have them. No, they don't look like balloons sitting on your chest, like people who have breasts implants. Breasts sag, you get stretch marks, your areolas usually get large and it's not uncommon to see large blue veins.
Not only that, but large breasts aren't always as fun as everyone seems to think they are. As I've mentioned before, I have a lot of serious back and neck problems because of my breasts. Bras only last my 6 months before I need new ones and they always cost a FORTUNE! Even though I've lost a lot of weight on my waist and hips, I still have to buy from XL just to have shirts to first my breasts.
I really hope people become less idiotic about this and start realizing the reality of what big breasts are. Sorry for the odd rant, but it certainly made me feel better.
