I'd like to start a challenge that has no emphasis on weighing-in, because I've promised myself that I won't weigh for a couple months. I was becoming way too swayed by each pound up or down, and could get thrown into week long depressions over a pound not lost (or *gasp* gained) and that would affect both my eating and exercising. So now I'm trying to get myself grounded in healthful habits so I can better deal with a disappointment on the scale (and realize that the world won't end if I don't lose a pound for one week).
So what I'm thinking is an "INO" challenge (It's Not and Option). I learned this phrase in the book Secrets of a Former Fat Girl. Even though I only read half of the book this idea has stuck with me.
So an example would be (but of course everyone's would be different depending on what they want),
INO: To eat chocolate except a little bit on Sunday evenings.
INO: Not to exercise for at least 20 minutes six days a week.
INO: Not to get at least eight cups of water everyday.
Is there anyone willing to do this with me? If you want to weigh-in that's fine too. I just don't want weight it to be the focus of the challenge.
