Dieter's Tea

  • I recently purchase some dieter's tea. It is flavored peppermint. Drink 6oz once a day after last mea. Figured it would settle my "sweet tooth" cravings after dinner. Has anyone tried this? Effective or not so much? Your insight would be greatly appreciated!
  • What are the ingredients? Many 'dieters' teas are laxatives so I'd be careful.
  • I saw that the other day. I was half tempted to buy it but I didn't want to buy something that might be a waste. It didn't really say WHAT it was supposed to do
  • It is somewhat of a laxative i suppose. I think it burns fat faster (increases metabolisiam) I dont know... It taste like well to be frank- piss. lol. I think i may cut this tea stuff out
  • Sorry to jump on this thread after it's been dead so long, lol, but there are some great hot teas that don't taste like pee. I love mint tea, cinnamon tea, vanilla tea, etc. Sometimes you can take two bags and brew them together to make a "new" flavor. Plus, if you don't add sugar to it, it's low cal and somewhat filling. I teach during the day and keep a travel mug with me all day. Good luck!
  • I used to drink a Chinese dieter's tea, but I never really thought it did anything. I think I lost weight because I did 60 min of cardio everyday. Just keep drinking lots of water/tea/something low cal to satisfy your appetite, and if you're still really hungry, eat something low-cal and sweet.
  • I say skip the "Dieter's" tea and just get regular herbal mint tea. I like chamomile mint. It does help me go through the night without snacking, without any funky laxatives or stimulants. Definitely doesn't taste like pi**.
  • This thread reminds me. I have been seeing advertisements for some drink that is supposed to burn 100 calories. Has anyone heard of this drink and why do I think it's a scam? Of course, the sensible side of me says that I can burn 100 calories by running one mile and it doesn't cost me a dime.
