Yummy Canned Tuna Burger

  • I made this tonight, and it was really good!

1 small can of Solid Chunk White Albacore Tuna (regular tuna is too mushy)
    1/2 c. crushed Cornflakes
    1 tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
    1 egg white

Drain tuna well. Combine tuna, cornflakes, and cheese together in a small bowl. Add in egg white and mix well. Form one or two burgers (you want them to be fairly thin to ensure the egg cooks through). Cook in a frying pan spritzed with olive oil over low-medium heat until each side is dark golden brown.

It's about 230 calories total for the above ingredients. I had mine on toasted wheat sandwich thin bread (100 calories) sprinkled with hot sauce and a side of steamed veggies (80 calories)...all in all about 410 calories and a delicious dinner!
  • I've done this, but using Stove Top Herb stuffing mix in place of the corn flakes. I eat it with 2% cheese on a toasted sandwich thin. I eat it at least once a week, sometimes twice...so easy to prepare and low in points (I do WW).
