January Exercise Challenge

  • oh goodness, im not sure where to start.
    im using the Wii Fit as my exercise since i live in Northern NY and the ground is covered in snow.
    so here it is:
    Balance, Yoga, Aerobic and Strength Training
    (15 minutes each, 5 days a week)

    does that sound alright to start with?
  • 1560 minutes for the month
    Week 1 - 345 min
    1/3 - 45 min basketball/sprints
    1/4 - 60 min swimming
    1/5 - nothing (overslept)
    1/6 - 60 min swimming
    1/7 - 30 min C25k/30 min ST
    1/8 - 60 min Swim
    1/9 - 30 min C25k/30 min ST

    Week 2
    1/10 - 20 minutes basketball/Sprints
    1/11 - 60 min swimming
    1/12 - 30 min C25k/35 min ST
    1/13 - 60 min swimming


    Running total: 550/1560
  • I met my December exercise goal of 1300 minutes for the month with less than 6 hours to spare! So, I'm going to increase it a bit for January.

    January exercise goal: 1400 minutes
  • keep moving forward....
    * 20 sessions at 30 min each (alternating programs with big sweat!)
    * more stretching (because anything would be an improvement)
  • 60/60 today *goal met*
    60/1500 this month
  • My January Minutes:

    1/1: 28 min (2 mi walk)

    Well, it's a modest start, but more than I've done in a week as far as formal exercise goes!
  • shutterbug~isn't Wii fun. I love the yoga on the balance board. I have not tried the strength training yet. Is it good? They are coming out with Wii walk it out in a few weeks. I want to get it. I love the bowling games.

  • I am in for the month. I haven't made a goal in the exercise challenge yet but I am bound to get it sometime. LOL I was close last month just didnt get around to exercising on the 31st.

    So this months exercise goal:

    1250 minutes
    Turbo Ab's 3x/week (12 total)

    Week 1
    1/1: 30 minutes WATP
    1/2: 30 minutes WATP, Booty Blaster, Turbo Ab's (total minutes 62)

    Weekly Total: 92 minutes/ turbo ab 1

    Week 2
    1/3: 20 minutes WATP

  • I am in. I alternate between Wii Active and Cathe DVDs. I had been a slug for quite some time. I'm going to ease back into my workouts.

    Am committing to a minimum of 3 solid workouts a week.

    Setting my Wii Active up for the 30 day Challenge. Also going through the DVDs to pick something to get me back in without killing me. Once I get too sore too fast it throws me off track for the rest of the workout week. I keep forgetting I'm not there yet!

    1/2: 15 min walk, 30 min hula; 90/1400
  • Goals: 3 cardio workouts + 3 yoga or strength training +425 minutes per week

    Jan 2~60 minutes stepping + 40 min 100 pin bowling
    Jan 3~90 minutes 100 pin bowling + 45 minutes stepping
