Do you have a GoWear Fit display?

  • I recently got the GoWear Fit armband, and I really like it. It is a pain to have to remove it and attach it to the computer to get my numbers, so I was thinking about buying the display. Looking on Amazon, there are a couple of reviews that say the numbers between the armband and display don't match up. Has anyone here had that problem? I'd like to use the total calories burned to tailor my eating habits throughout the day, so it's kind of important for it to be accurate.
  • I really want the system (the device and display). I want to know how it's working for you, even without the display!
  • Oh, I am so glad I purchased the armband! It has been eye opening how lazy I am on my days off...I'm talking less than 2000 steps for the whole day kind of lazy! All the housework I thought counted as moderate activity basically is resting activity. It has really helped to motivate me to move more and try to meet goals (2800 calories burned, 30 minutes of moderate activity, 5000 steps for starters each day). Right now I am good at hitting and exceeding my goals on the days when I work, but those 3 days off need some serious help. And it's so odd how it knows when I'm sleeping. I mean, it really knows. I read for a bit before bed, and it knows during that time that I'm "laying down" but not asleep.
  • I just started using my GWF yesterday and I'm liking it- I have the display too but haven't started using it (hubby bought both for me).

I've found in the two days I've been using it that I'm waking up so much during the night- no wonder I'm so tired all the time. Seriously waking up 8-10 times during the night is a lot- I never sleep for more than a few hours at a time apparently.

I'm definitely going to be using the monitor for during the workweek when I can't just pop in my device and see my numbers.

I definitely think this will help me lose weight
  • I have the display. For me, it's a key part of the whole equation. I refer to it often during the day and use it to help make appropriate choices regarding food and exercise. Finding out after the fact how many calories I've burned that day wouldn't be nearly as useful for me when I am considering options for an evening snack.
