How close can I make it . . .

  • I'm sure most of you you know about the Jingle Away the Jiggle challenge here. I think it's something that's really gotten me off my duff, lol.

Anyway, it's a month away from the end, and I still have 15 pounds yet to lose. I'm not sure if I'll be able to make it, but in the back of my mind I know that I lost 15 pounds in the first month of this challenge. If I don't make it? That's ok! I've already lost 35 pounds at this point and I'm well on my way! And if I do make it, I'll have lost 50 pounds since I started up again. I slowed down for a bit but the weight seems to be dropping off again.

So I'm not gonna kill myself over it, but wow . . . it would be so nice, lol. The best part of this all is that I'm finally starting to notice real changes in my body in the past couple of weeks. My new jeans (which are one size down from where I started in the challenge) are starting to get loose on me. My favorite t-shirt (which I've had for years) is no longer snug on me. I wouldn't say it's too big, but the fact that I don't have to stretch it out before putting it on makes me jump for joy! And I discovered last night that I can shake my birthstone ring off. It's not falling off yet, but it's about time I be extra careful when I wear it.

I'm most excited for the next 30 pounds, as 220 was my lowest weight as an adult and I'm anxious to revisit it. After that . . . well, it's unknown territory for me. I do realize that asking for 15 pounds in one month is probably way too much . . . but I can dream as I work my tail off, right?
  • Hey I'm dreaming with you!!!! I have another 15 to go too... and realistically? It's not going to happen. But I am going to WORK MY TAIL OFF and see how close I can get!
  • I also have 15 to go and I don't think I will lose that amount by Christmas as my weight loss seems to of really slowed down the last few weeks I never expected to lose 50lb though and as when I started the challenge my weight seemed to be slowing then too I didn't really expect to lose 35lb in that time so I'm fairly happy (especially as we were on holiday for 2.5 weeks - though I think maybe that's why i started to lose more weight again - maybe when I was back my body thought it had only just started a "diet") I do want to lose AT LEAST another 5lb by then which would put me at 14 stones (196lb) - my pegnancy weight. Ideally I'd like to start the new year at 13 and a half stones though (189lb) which means 12lb loss by the end of December (maybe 10lb more on the challenge then 2lb the next week - don't know if that's realistic now though) and I would be very happy

The challenge has certainly helped me stayed focused over the last few months
  • I am with you Rainbow. This challenge has really helped me keep my focus. It was amazing to watch the weight loss # go up and up. I loss 25.5 so far and 17.5 to go to make my goal of 43lbs. I don't think I will make that but I am super excited to see how close I get. I love a challenge! It really helps me work towards my goals step by step. I look forward to sharing the next one with all of you.

Sirenty I belive what you have accomplished is amazing and I am so happy for you!
