  • Thank you very much for the sweet compliments, Lyn. You made my day. Last night we went to my sister's house for her Halloween party, so I got to wear my outfit twice. It was a lot of fun, and not one candy touched my lips!

And congratulation on getting off over 2 pounds!!! Way to go! It must feel super to get out of the 190s, right? Very proud of you. I do hope you did well at your event today. Keeping my fingers crossed for ya.

I've been holding steady at 169 for the last few days. I'm still not too bummed by that though because I've been in the 160s for 10 days now. Considering how quickly I lost weight on the cleanse, I'm just happy to not have gained any back. Well, I've put about 0.6 back on, but that's hardly anything considering what I took off in 6 days. But I know I'm going to start itching to want to lose again very soon...like tomorrow! I've set a goal to reach 162 by Thanksgiving (Nov. 28). That gives me 4 weeks to lose 7 pounds. This late into JC, that'll be a tough goal to reach, but it is doable.

How about you? Any nearby goals you're striving for?
  • Okay, back down to 168.4 again. Yay!
  • Hi Sandy, glad to hear you are still in the 160s. Must feel great! Well, my weekend ended up being a bad bad blowout.... Way too much wine, champagne etc. at the races, then I was hopeless on Sunday with my hangover. Greasy food central. But I am back to eating 100 % properly today! I weighed myself this morning... 192 again!! Waah! But I'm not going to look again until my Thursday weigh in, and work my butt off in the gym, eat properly and drink lots of water to hopefully get back under 190! Even with the gain, I had a fabulous day! Life happens sometimes, right? It's a once a year thing!
  • Don't even worry about that, Lyn. Yes, life happens and the important thing is you got back in the saddle again quickly. Good for you! I'm positive that the quick weight gain was mostly water weight anyway. You just watch...a few days back on plan and you will be back in your 180s again for sure.
  • Down another 0.4!
  • Ugh! Started an intense boot camp workout on Monday and I'm so sore, which means I'm retaining water. It showed on the scale, with a gain of 0.6. But overall a loss of 0.4 for this week. I know it'll come back down once the soreness goes away though.
  • Well, it turns out that all that soreness was not just from my workouts...I had caught my daughter's cold. But, thankfully, with plenty of garlic supplements, zinc, silver solution and manuka honey (I believe in the powers of holistic remedies as opposed to medication), I'm all better today. So I'm back to my workouts, but I'm cutting back to only one workout per day instead of two. I was killing myself with that bootcamp routine.

The weight loss is really slowing down now (167.8 this morning), so I'm hoping adding in this workout will help speed it up a bit.
  • Official weigh in day today and I'm down 1.6 for the week. I'll take it! I'm starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel.
  • Hello, I am on Jenny, just started last week but for various reasons I have gained a pound. Mostly due to just habitual overeating on my part at night. Also unsupportive husband does not help. I hope to join in and maybe lose some weight.
  • Hello, Medeis. It's nice to have someone else join in on this board. I'm sorry you don't have a supportive husband. My sister's husband is the same way, so she leans on me and my mom for support. Do you have other family and friends who give you support? Are you feeling most hungry late at night and this is why you are overeating? What does your consultant have to say about it?
  • We have no other family here. My bff is sort of nearby if you call 2 hours away nearby. So I am pretty much on my own. Hubby is very unsupportive. I keep telling him not to buy sweets, I'll just have to put my foot down harder.

I eat at night mostly. Well I am a grazer and always have been, so the problem is portion control and Jenny food helps with that during the day so I am pretty good during the day. But at night I cannot seem to stop with my snack. I don't have a consultant as I don't go in for weigh-in's it is too far away. I think I just eat too much out of habit I guess. It sounds pathetic to say it.

So I am here to try to get inspired not to eat at night and some exercise inspiration too, lol.
  • Okay, I would highly recommend that you also join the Jenny Craig forum. Since it is pretty much dead on this one with just me and Lyn checking in. On the Jenny Craig forum, you will find round the clock people posting all about Jenny. They really help to motivate and inspire you and will give you loads of advice on your particular situation.

I'm not saying that Lyn and I aren't good motivation. Lord knows we are. But we need all the help we can get, right?

Here is the link to the forum: http://www.jennycraig.com/

Once you join, please join us on the Thanksgiving challenge here: http://community.jennycraig.com/inde...ing-challenge/ I start a new challenge for every holiday, so don't worry about this challenge being over in just another couple of weeks. Join anyway! The more the merrier. There are a great bunch of girls on there who will really help keep you accountable. Then the Christmas challenge will begin right after this one ends.

And if exercise inspiration is what you want, I also have an exercise challenge up here: http://community.jennycraig.com/inde...ere-do-t-tapp/ Yes, I am challenge happy, but there is a good reason for it: They're fun, push you to do your best and keep you accountable. If you are not getting the support you want at home, you definitely will on these boards and this one here. We are here to help.

I hope to see you there, Medeis!
  • Thank you so much for the links! I think I once made an account there but it was way in the past. I will go back there and check it out. It is good to talk to people and be challenged for sure. I really appreciate the links!
  • No problem! I'm happy to know that you will check them out and, hopefully, join in the fun.
  • I got over there and made my account! I am real happy about that, step in the right direction for me. However, I have a friend over and we are not being very good so I think I will have to start fresh tomorrow. Today I am going to try to control portions, that is my first goal. My 2nd goal for today is to have a Jenny dinner. and get back on track ^_^ We'll see how it goes and I'll come over to the JC board and read more tonight.
