Has anybody made a healthy noodle with peanut sauce dish?

  • I'm havin' a cravin'!

Looking for a good recipe but one that is healthy!!

    thanks!
  • Sure have.. the product I use to lighten up those Peanut calories is PB2. the powdered peanut butter product. There have been a few other posts about the stuff here, but you can check it out at www.bellplantation.com They have recipes there too.. and I know several are for noodle dishes.

I just ordered another batch of this stuff on Monday and I am trying the chocolate PB2 for the first time. I cannot wait!
  • Hi! I do make a peanut sauce whisking 1 T peanut butter, 1 T warm water until smooth mixed with 2 T soy sauce and 1 teaspoon of thai garlic/chili paste. Adjust the ingredients to your taste....I will admit to liking things on the salty side so you might want to cut down the soy sauce or use the lower-sodium.

I love this on soba noodles with steamed veggies and fresh cilantro!
  • I just checked www.cookinglight.com for recipes for peanut sauce and found a lot of recipes that sound great!

Linda, I wondered about pb2 for peanut sauce, too! I'll check out their recipes.

It's pretty good. I've used PB2 in peanut sauces as well as in desserts. It tastes good, but the peanut taste isn't as strong as regular peanut butter. Still good!! And I don' sit there and eat the whole jar with a spoon in a few days like I do with regular peanut butter
  • Oh my, thanks for all of the suggestions! I too need to try PB2 but I really like my smuckers all natural peanut butter. Its good fat and we all need good fat, right????
