Hey, I know that my thread on digital camera input got blown by the crash but I wanted to thank everyone who responded and gave me some info and feedback. While the Casio did look pretty good we ultimatley decided to go w/the Canon SD1000. It was very helpful hearing how others really liked this camera and the 'nudge' was the name/rep and the fact that it is 'certified for Windows Vista'. My daughter w/be getting a laptop for college w/Vista as the OS so this kinda of clinched it. But thanks to everyone who posted their opinions. And thanks Eskinomad for mentioning Amazon. We got the camera and case for $182, no tax, no shipping. Cheaper than anywhere else I'd looked. And who knew Amazon sold so much stuff? Software is waaay cheaper there than Best Buy, Staples, etc. A little sweat equity researching on the net yields big savings on items, tax, and gas and time getting to the store. All around, a very good deal!
