Nickels and dimes!

  • Yay! Tonight was another successful weigh-in for me! Thanks to everyone here for their amazing support and encouragement, and also for all of the great ideas that I get here everyday! I'm down another 2.2lbs, bringing my grand total (since 1/5/08) to 9.0lbs lost! Woohoo!

Losing 2lbs per week seems S L O W.... as I witness friends (IRL and here) losing at a much faster rate. But, a million bucks is made up of nickels and dimes.... and 101lbs is made up of 2lb increments, as well, I suppose.

    Thanks again to everyone! YAY!

    Who else is celebrating tonight?
  • Great job on your loss!!! I know what you mean about SLOW...I want this weight gone -now-! *laughs* Every single pound lost, no matter how slow or fast, puts us that much closer to our goal. Keep up the great work!
  • Fantastic job Aero! Last night was my weigh-in as well, and I've lost 2.2 ^^

It does seem slow sometimes, but you are so right. Can't walk a mile without taking one step at a time.
  • Great job! I also lose slowly...but, forward progress is still progress, right? Plus, 9 pounds is not too slow at all!
  • Thanks so much for the kind words of support, everyone! It's great to know I'm not the only one losing at this glacial pace.

And congrats, Faerie, on your success this week!
  • I too have found my weightloss to be slow. I finally moved another 3 pounds down and hit the 250 mark. Congrats on yours, I look at it as it might be slowly coming off, BUT - it is STAYING off. I have not gained any. Mind you, I have gone a few months without losing any, but the scale has not gone up. You are doing fantastic.

  • Congradulations on your loss! And, what a fabulous attitude! Yea!!!!

This weight sure comes on faster than it comes off, huh?!
  • My doctor told me that a rate of 1 or 2 lbs. a week is the healthiest pace to lose weight, and more people keep it off at that rate. It means you're making healthier lifestyle choices rather than just "dieting"!

    Congrats on the loss!
  • Slow and steady adds up. I am happy when I lost 2 pounds a week. That really does add up. Visualize March 1st and the drop in your scale on that day compared to today!
  • Yay for you!
2 pounds a week is fabulous!
  • Great job!!!
