  • Including the handling fee, I paid $67.00 each for Hall & Oates tickets in Connecticut in July. What have you spent on your favorite entertainers lately?
  • I'm a big fan of the $15 show--they're becoming all too rare these days, though. I think the most I've paid recently was $40 including "convenience" fees for Belle & Sebastian/The New Pornographers and it was worth every penny.
  • I just paid $60.75, including handling fee, for Rick Springfield. (Showing my age , heh). Similar price for Crowded House. Neither has occured yet, so I can't say if it's worth it. I'm betting I won't think twice once I hear "Jessie's Girl".
  • I'm seeing a band (The Birthday Massacre) at the House of blues tickets were only $15 with the $2 fee... They aren't that well known luckily for me.

I went down there to pick them up to avoid about $20 in Ticket Master charges for 2 tickets.
  • I seem to remember Flogging Molly tix being in the 25-30 dollar range. I've paid over $40.00 to see Ani Difranco (and would do so again might I add!)

I love Crowded House, when are you going to see them?

Last concert I went to was The Goo Goo Dolls in St.Louis on the 3rd of July. Free concert under the Arch. Priceless.
  • I havent been to a concert in ages..

I went to a Keb Mo concert about 5 years ago but the tickets were a gift (Keb Mo was ehh, his opener, Willy Porter was fantastic)

Before that I think the last concert I saw was Pink Floyd or U2, both in college (late 80's or early 90's), neither one did I pay for as I worked concessions.

Oh wait, I did see meatloaf at a tiny concert hall in cleveland before he released the second BOOH album. Maybe around 1990?
  • My son and I tried to get Stevie Wonder tickets this week-end at a small venue here in so. cal. Hit the computers as soon as they opened up but couldn't get in. The cheap tickets for that one were $98 so probably $130 with fees (?)
  • I love concerts! I have been to like 3 this year. My boyfriend took me to the Tim McGraw and Faith Hill Soul2Soul concert this last weekend for my birthday. He paid just under $200 per ticket - but we were in the 3rd row.
It was money well spent - it was amazing!!!
  • Jimmy Eat World - $17
  • €15 plus handling and postage for Apoptygma Berzerk

Most I ever paid was probably €100 for U2 and around the same for Madonna. I see a lot of shows though and go to festivals to get my money's worth, plus I see less known European bands which are cheaper than the international stars.
  • Oo... Apoptygma Berzerk

  • I've been to loads of unnoticed band concerts. My sister's ex boyfriend used to be the lead signer/guitarist for the band that fronted Panic! At The Disco, so I got to see them before they became famous.

I've been to see Jimmy Eat World, one of my all time favourite bands ever.

And I've never been to see a band when they were famous, although I did get tickets to the Warped Tour in 2006, but my bf didnt want me to go, because he couldnt go either.

He got me tickets to see Evanescence last November, but the band canceled the show and never rescheduled it. He paid about $100 for both tickets, and they were standing/mosh pit type area tickets. That really bummed me out. Then I wanted to get tickets to see My Chemical Romance, but we couldnt afford it
  • It was about $60 each for the cheap seats for The Police, but it was a great show--lots of their songs I had forgotten. I wouldn't pay $200 for floor seats to see, in reality, Sting.

I'll pay any price to see Robert Plant, but he tries to keep ticket prices down and doesn't like fleecing people. (He's usually the same price)
  • Wow! Thanks for all the replies, guys! If I get lucky enough to travel to another Hall & Oates (they never come near me), I will splurge for the $100 tickets so I can be in the Gold front section. I STILL regret not spending the $90 sixteen years ago for the Eagles **** Freezes Over tour. That was a bundle at the time (well, still a lot!), but I should have done it!

I also intend to see a Jimmy Buffet concert the next time I get a chance, and ALWAYS James Taylor!
